See you at the USA, God willing I'll be there from Thursday to Monday morning. Surely we can meet up sometime during the chaotic weekend. I've never missed the USA since the first one in 1980 that Rachel McLish won. I guess that says I must have absolutely nothing else going on in my life that I would never miss even one USA, or that I am ridiculously dedicated to covering an important event. The 2009 show will be my 30th consecutive USA. Sheeesh!!!!!!! 30 USA's. I'm insane at some level, eh? But boy do I have some memories of those contests!
At this point I doubt I'll be in Columbus. I've been to 18 Ms. International contests so the basic excitement has understandably worn off. But nevertheless I am sorry I may have to miss it. I have some challenging family issues right now and that has to be my priority. If things look better as the next few days go by, maybe I will make it. Right now, I'll give you a definite maybe! :-)) I'm sure we'll bump into each other somewhere this year.
