Wow, good luck. I might try to make it there just to watch as I'm sitting 5 weeks out from my full meet in Austin.
Just got back into the heavy lifting. Have always just done a basic 6x6 5x5 4x5 3x5x then doubles week before the meet. For this deadlift meet, being that it is a max and a dead for reps, I really havent done much heavy work. Just been hitting 500 for sets of 10 to 12. And just started doing some singles last week to see where im going to open at meet in two weeks. Kinda unorthodox training, but it was short notice of meet. Found out about it in February, hadnt been deadlifting steadly in years. So kinda playing catch-up.
Figure I'd move to here to quit cluttering up any more of that thread. What sort of training do you use? I've been running what I thought was westside but after buying a couple of books see I really have been missing some of the core principles.
