I was a Captain. We did whatever we asked the marines to do - no double standard. Set the example. I about threw the psy ops Captain overboard. He screwed the 4 SGT's he left on the ground and took a ride to Africa with us instead of hanging with his men to fly out 4 days later. That is just JTF politics you cannot intercede between services. Stay safe.
Good Officers are rare, but they do exist. Best ones let us operators do our jobs and give us what we need. We don't ask for much, just stay out of our way and cover our ass when we need it. West Pointers are the worst.. Too confident and think they know everything. Always envied the Marines for their Officers.
ah yes. good group of guys. I worked with 5th group and psy ops in Albania. The operators were great but their officers . . . not so much. We were under NSA control which as you know you get what you get - some douche bag with too much time on his hands and a MP-5 aroudn his neck (Pentagon Rambo).
