Thoughts

Smell
Upon opening the package it said there would be an aroma from the noodles sitting in the liquid prior to breaking the seal, when I did open the package I really did not smell much, just simply drained them for about 2 minutes under running cold water before I did go to cook them

Texture
Quite unique, they are very spongy/soft as you would expect from a very low calorie noodle. I have never tried the �Miracle� Noodles so I have no idea how those would taste or their texture, so this was very new to me. I usually cook my pasta for around 6-7 minutes not very soggy, but just enough so that if you threw it against a wall it would stick (old Italian trick)

Taste
I kind of had mixed feelings trying a low calorie noodle, but the be honest I barley tasted the spinach in the noodles (Being they are bring green) it was just a spongy texture that you really tasted in all reality. I made a homemade alredo sauce and then diced up 6oz of chicken to throw in there as well, and the flavors complimented each other very well and aided with the overall taste of the entire dish, since its in a Tupperware container its not the most �Appealing� Picture, but then again eating green noodles seems a bit odd at first (like eating green ketchup). For the calories you have to give these a high score considering the whole amount of pasta is 32 calories and all fiber.

Price
3.39$ per container, yes it is a bit on the pricey side, but then again your buying quite a bit of pasta pre-cooked and its only 32 calories for the spinach and 16 calories for the spaghetti, pretty remarkable. I looked up the Miracle Noodles and those are around 2-3$ (location) per package. So in essence these are right on part with competition on the market (as far as those in grocery stores). So you really cant knock off much here as far as rating/points go because its competitive and unique to the market.

Overall
For being on a contest prep diet towards the end of the final stretch this may be something I would consider (Seeing my carbs never dropped below 200g for both of my shows/contest preps) and a nice alternative to something else you may have on a given day (whatever you use to fit your micro�s/macro�s for your calories) but all in all for those who carb cycle and do lower carb days it may suit them well (or low-carb in general) for those who thrive off carbs in their diets it may be harder to justify the price. All in all it will be personal preference in the end

As I Lay Dying Singer: Steroids Made Him Crazy

Tim Lambesis isn't going anywhere. At the conclusion of the As I Lay Dying frontman's bail hearing earlier today, the judge lowered his bail to $2 million, which Lambesis' attorney claims is still too expensive for Lambesis.

Lambesis had plead not guilty to one count of solicitation of murder after attempting to hire a hitman to murder his wife.

UT San Diego filed a report from inside the courtroom reporting that the defense requested the bail be lowered to $250,000 but Judge David Berry would only agree to lower it to $2 million.

During his appeal, Warwick also claimed that Lambesis began using steroids, which clouded his judgement:

Thomas Warwick, the musician’s lawyer, said his client had gotten into body building and eating healthy, and later began taking nutritional supplements as a paid product spokesman. At some point, he also began taking steroids, he said.

“His thought processes were devastatingly affected by his steroid use,” Warwick said.

Another shocking revelation came from the prosecution who revealed the cost of alleged hit on Lambesis' wife was priced at $20,000 and that Lambesis was "very willing to pay that."

High-Testosterone Competitors More Likely to Choose Red

May 16, 2013 — Why do so many sports players and athletes choose to wear the color red when they compete? A new study to be published in

Psychological Science, a journal of the Association for Psychological Science, suggests that it may have to do with their testosterone levels.

The new study, conducted by psychological scientist Daniel Farrelly of the University of Sunderland and colleagues, demonstrated that males who chose red as their color in a competitive task had higher testosterone levels than other males who chose blue.

"The research shows that there is something special about the color red in competition, and that it is associated with our underlying biological systems," says Farrelly.

The researchers believe that the link may explain why many sports stars wear red clothing -- Tiger Woods, for example, famously chooses to wear a red shirt on the last day of a major competition.

Choosing to wear red "may, unconsciously, signal something about their competitive nature, and it may well be something that affects how their opponents respond," Farrelly explains.

Farrelly and colleagues recruited 73 men to participate in the study, and they were unaware of the study's aims. The men were told that they would be performing a competitive task and that their performances would be placed on a leaderboard. The participants then chose either a red or blue symbol to represent them in the table and completed the competitive tasks. They also answered questionnaires aimed at gauging whether various personal reasons may have affected their color choice.

To determine participants' testosterone levels, the researchers took saliva samples at the start of the study, before the participants knew about the competitive task, and again at the end.

The data revealed that men who chose red had higher baseline testosterone levels, and they rated their color as having higher levels of characteristics such as dominance and aggression, than men who chose blue.

Color choice did not, however, seem to be related to actual performance in the competitive task. The researchers believe that direct competition, in which opponents can be seen wearing red or appearing red, may be necessary for the red advantage to occur. Along these lines, previous research has shown that wearing red can be advantageous through its influence on opponents' perceptions, leading them to view red competitors as being "high quality" competitors.

Disciple frequents Rx Muscle Australia as well as Rx Muscle. He registered on the board February of last year and has 176 posts. Here's a 10 Questions interview that introduces you to a fellow member of our online community. Enjoy!

1. How did you discover Rx Muscle?

Word got around that Xavier was creating an Aussie section on Rx Muscle, never heard of him and the only Xavier I knew was the one from X Men which I found pretty cool.

Wait. Which Xavier again?

Wasn�t till after about a month of hearing the news I Googled it and found the forum which I immediately signed up.

Love the updates on the homepage with exclusive interviews and hardcore Aussie Muscle Radio. Definitely hardcore but definitely needs a variety of people to host it.

2. What are some things you'd do to improve Rx Muscle?

We need more interviews, more contest coverage and to attract more members by not the means of advertisement but by the means of becoming a community to share ideas and thoughts whether it be positive or negative. Aussie moderators should do a lot more on the forum as I am only seeing X doing most of the work. End of the day, the admin and moderators should realise that it's the loving fans and members of Rx who bring it together.

3. Curious about your username, disciple. Is there a story behind it?

Well, at the time of becoming a member I thought long and hard, what should my username be? During that period I had become a big fan of Charles Glass and his disciples.

Always wished I would be one of them too as I really like Charles' practical training and interesting theories which I have put into practice and find extremely effective. And that�s how my username Disciple evolved. Prior to Disciple I was thinking of putting Bumble_Bee.

Disciple's alternate choice for a username was Bumble_Bee!

4. And how did you get involved in the iron?

As a kid I was continuously bullied as I was the shortest and skinniest kid at primary school and high school, just when I thought the teasing had stopped, I had established myself as a ballet teacher and found a girlfriend which she made my life go backwards as she left me after a long term relationship for another guy with the exact words "he is bigger and has muscles".

This triggered me off and made me think that I would have to do something about this and prove the bitch wrong. Got the negative thoughts out of my head and signed up to Riley�s gym. Minute I stepped in I was like what am I doing in this place? It was full of meatheads and when I say meatheads I mean the Mark meathead Taylor types.

Got my diet all sorted and was eating 8x a day, from been close to 55kg I dramatically got myself up to 90kg, did I look good? Not the best but hell I was proud to actually hold size now. it was until a few months later, I had one of the meatheads approach me, I think his name was David or Dale, he said some very encouraging words about my results and asked if I was using anything, I spoke with honesty and told him I was using the staple WPI, Creapure, Xtend and he asked me if I was using the real man's supplements at to which I was confused till he took me to his car boot and behold, the famous bladders with the sheep on them.

Explained to me the whole methods of using them as I don�t really want to get into too much detail, but I can tell you that first shot in my gluteus maximus left me corked for days, could barely sit on my ass, but after a good 3 cycles in a year I had blown to 100kg but leaner. He was amazed as to how much I transformed to the point he nicknamed me Optimus Prime and I was amazed how these sheep products could turn me like that and boy I was becoming woolen like a sheep too which he said this was normal due to high test so I played along with it.

He then offered me another product to battle the stubborn fat I had got, this time he wanted me to use horse products, the famous Jurox and RWR goodies. From a sheep I was a horse. lol. After this I had built a big shed on my property and built a fully equipped gym where I did things alone. I was still eventually meeting with my Riley friend but eventually lost contact and had to source things from a local guy.

It's been 10 years now I have been bodybuilding I had absolutely loved it but due to certain circumstances my love for bodybuilding has failed. Hoping to pick up on it again. As for the bitch, she saw me 5 years into the making and was left speechless to the point she wanted to start dating again. That�s where I played hard to get and showed her the other direction.

5. What's the best or worst thing about the sport?

The bitchiness, bodybuilders are worse than girls. And let's not forget the types that classify themselves as bodybuilders when competing and then parade at dance parties and Facebook. That�s not what you call a dedicated bodybuilder. They're probably the worst.

The best is that it is a very encouraging and disciplined sport where you make great friends and is continuously a learning experience where it is never ending. Will always learn something new day by day.

Plus I love Craig Lucas (Outlaw) as a judge, think he is kinda cool with his pony tail, pretty bad ass if you ask me. If steroids were legalized in Australia would be a bonus.

6. What were some of your first goals with the weights?

The one and foremost highlight for me with weights was mind and muscle connection along with form. Once I perfected these 2 principles growth was no issue for me. I could literally make a 5kg shoulder press feel like 100kg. The mind is a very powerful tool and if you got control of it you can take bodybuilding to a level you never could imagine of. I was never a big fan of hitting numbers and breaking records.

Always had the mentality about stimulating the muscle and fatiguing it to the point of not being able to move it. Most guys nowadays watch dvds of famous bodybuilders, pushed to the limits to promote their supplement range and assume that�s how they train on a daily basis so they go back to the gym and do the same thing, train heavy and stupid not wondering the long term damage they are causing.

7. Do you have any other favorite activities or hobbies?

Ballet, Opera, cycling and at times some tennis at the local park. I also love browsing and reading on the internet, it�s amazing how the internet has developed.

I remember in my young days I had to look everything up on my Britannica encyclopedia which took up a whole room. Funny, when my dad use to argue with my mum he would come storming into my room and tell me �Grab all your encyclopedia and all your books and put them in the bin�, I would be like �why dad?�, and he would be like �Because your mother knows everything�. Lol. Only problem with the internet nowadays is there is a lot of sick puppies on here.

8. What's your background - school, employment?

I graduated from high school and eventually served in the Army for a few years till I picked up on dancing, got my dancing certificates and became a successful teacher for ballet, I know it sounds gay but I love it.

And definitely not an easy thing to do. Would love to see someone like Shembri or Goble attempt ballet in tights. Now that would be a challenge.

9. What's one of your favorite movies?

Step up, all parts to it.

10. Would you rather have a beer with Arnold or Phil Heath?

Neither. First, I don�t like beer so I wouldn�t be having a beer, I�m more of an aged scotch man with his cigar and I much prefer Frank Zane as I find it pretty cool he was not only known as "the chemist" but the fact he knew what symmetry was in bodybuilding and the fact he was light years ahead of any other bodybuilder.

Glad he still has the same thought about bodybuilding like he did back in his days. Bodybuilding has evolved to a mutant freak show and nothing pleasant about it no more.

Disciple, thank you for sharing a bit of time with this interview. I'm glad to know more about you and I'm sure other members of Rx Muscle and Rx Muscle Australia will feel the same way!

Our digestive tract is home to a vast and varied population of microbes. In fact scientists have discovered that at 3.3 million, the genes of our gut flora vastly outnumber the 23,000 or so genes in the human genome.

This complex microbial ecosystem plays an active role in many bodily functions. But while previous studies have shown that the gut flora of people with obesity and type 2 diabetes are different to those of healthy, lean individuals, the mechanisms of interaction between these microbe populations and their host environment is not well understood, note the researchers.

Along the whole of the digestive tract are specialized cells that secrete mucus, a substance that lubricates the passage of food and protects the gut lining from digestive enzymes. This mucus barrier is also an efficient system for protecting the gut lining from harmful bacteria that cause inflammation and infection.

The most dominant bacterium that lives in the nutrient-rich mucus layer of the mammalian gut is Akkermansia muciniphila. This microbe normally accounts for 3-5% of gut bacteria.

But when Patrice D. Cani of the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium, and colleagues examined gut levels of A. muciniphila in different groups of lab mice, they found them to be low in obese and type 2 diabetic mice, and high in lean and healthy mice.

They also found that giving prebiotics to obese and type 2 diabetic mice boosted gut levels of A. muciniphila, and this was accompanied by an improved gut mucus barrier, reversal of insulin resistance (a metabolic condition that increases risk for type 2 diabetes), and reduction of other obesity-related metabolic disorders.

When they gave mice fed a high fat diet that made them put on two to three times more fat mass than normal, lean mice, and then treated them with the bacterium, they found the treated mice stayed bigger than the lean mice but lost about half of their extra weight. They also had lower levels of insulin resistance.

They also noticed that giving the obese mice A. muciniphila counteracted diet-induced decreases in the mucus layer of the gut, and increased gut levels of endocannabinoids, which studies suggest are important molecules for controlling inflammation, insulin sensitivity, and fat and energy metabolism.

However, these effects only occured with live A. muciniphila. Treatment with heat-killed bacterium neither replenished the mucus layer nor improved the metabolic profile of the diet-induced obese mice.

Cani and colleagues conclude that their findings provide "substantial insight into the intricate mechanisms of bacterial (ie, A. muciniphila) regulation of the cross-talk between the host and gut microbiota."

Cani has been studying the interaction between gut bacteria and metabolism for a decade. In an article on the study in Nature News, he suggests the bacterium communicates with the cells of the host's intestinal lining and immune system.

A. muciniphila sends a signal that appears to alter production of anti-microbial molecules, while also increasing production of mucus.

Perhaps the bacterium is establishing a mutually beneficial relationship with the host: in exchange for more food, it will deal with any invading harmful microbes, he suggests.

The researchers suggest their findings offer a reasonable argument for using the bacterium to develop ways to prevent or treat obesity and its associated metabolic disorders.

You know a lot of contest prep coaches work with a lot of people. "Lot" being a
key word. When u work with a "lot" you get lots of people who don't come in at
anywhere near their best, but when u have a big stable, of course u have some
big winners. I find is interesting ( ie ludicrous) that you ( ie any coach in
general) gets to tout his winners but hide the losers. There is nothing wrong
with "losing" ( ie not placing well) but by losing often that means, missing the
mark appearance wise ( sometimes by a long shot). It sort of reminds me of stock picking. You buy 100 stocks say today, some will go up some will go down. Some will get beat up and others might go through the roof! I wish I knew how to simply "pick the stocks that only go up" That brings me to my list of all the pros I helped 2012- into 2013 ( no secretly hidden dogs). I didn't make these pros by any means! I wasn't there to help them do all the hard work and get the their pro card, but its the entire list ( I believe) and how they fared. Will likely post up pics as well :)
If they were stocks, I would have done well. On a side note, none of these guys practiced posing much the final three days before the show. I think if you added up the total time spent in 33 shows over say 3 days each, roughly 99 days...may have come out to be 3 hours maximum.

On the other hand, if you're poor and muscle bound, you favor redistribution. The idea is that more upper body strength rouses a man (the effect was not found in women) to defend his self-interests, e.g, protect what you have if you're rich and try to grab more, if you're poor. In contrast, the rich 98-pound weaklings were less interested in preventing redistribution and the poor shrimps were less concerned about trying take from the rich. Over human evolutionary history, upper-body strength has been a major component of fighting ability. Evolutionary models of animal conflict predict that actors with greater fighting ability will more actively attempt to acquire or defend resources than less formidable contestants will. In studies conducted in Argentina, Denmark, and the United States, men with greater upper-body strength more strongly endorsed the self-beneficial position: Among men of lower socioeconomic status (SES), strength predicted increased support for redistribution; among men of higher SES, strength predicted increased opposition to redistribution. Because personal upper-body strength is irrelevant to payoffs from economic policies in modern mass democracies, the continuing role of strength suggests that modern political decision making is shaped by an evolved psychology designed for small-scale groups.

Hmmm. It's probably too much to conclude that a lot of our political problems could be solved if we could persuade our egalitarian buddies to stay away from the gym.

Turmeric compounds improve heart health as much as exercise

A chemical that naturally occurs in turmeric root appears to improve heart health as much as moderate aerobic exercise, according to a trio of studies conducted by researchers from the University of Tsukuba in Japan.

Turmeric root has been an important component of traditional Asian medicinal systems for hundreds of years. In recent decades, scientific studies have confirmed the potent anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties of the trio of turmeric chemicals known as "curcuminoids," which give the root its distinctive yellow-orange color. Although only one of these chemicals is properly known as "curcumin," the name is commonly used to refer to all of them collectively.

The three new studies all compared the effects of exercise and curcumin on heart health and postmenopausal women over an eight-week period. All the studies were randomized, double-blind and placebo-controlled. Curcumin was delivered by means of colloidal nanoparticles.
Can turmeric prevent heart disease?

In the first study, researchers assigned 32 women to either take a curcumin supplement, engage in moderate aerobic exercise training, or undergo no intervention at all. The researchers measured participants' vascular endothelial function - the responsiveness of the layer of cells that line the blood vessels, a key indicator of overall cardiovascular health - both at the beginning and end of the study. They found that while there was no improvement in the control group, endothelial function significantly increased in both the exercise and curcumin groups. Most surprisingly, the improvement in the two experimental groups was identical.

The second study examined curcumin's effects on the responsiveness of arteries to changes in blood pressure ("arterial compliance"), another key measure of cardiovascular health. In this study, 32 women were randomly assigned to receive either a curcumin supplement or a placebo pill, or to undergo an exercise routine plus either a curcumin or placebo pill. The researchers found no significant improvement in the control group, significant (and equivalent) improvements in both the exercise-only and curcumin-only groups, and the greatest improvement among participants who exercised and also took the supplements.

In the final study, researchers examined the effects of exercise and curcumin on the rate of age-related degeneration of the heart's left ventricle. 45 participants were randomly assigned into one of the same four groups used in the second study.

The researchers once again found that both exercise and curcumin produced significant increases in heart health. In this study, however, curcumin alone did not appear to provide any benefit. Specifically, brachial systolic blood pressure (SBP) decreased among participants who exercised, whether or not they took curcumin. In addition, heart-rate-corrected aortic augmentation index (AIx) and aortic SBP both decreased significantly only among participants who both exercised and took curcumin.

"Regular ingestion of curcumin could be a preventive measure against cardiovascular disease in postmenopausal women," the authors of the first study wrote. "Furthermore, our results suggest that curcumin may be a potential alternative ... for patients who are unable to exercise."

Curcumin is best absorbed from turmeric root, rather than from supplements.

Researchers at the University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center discovered that mice treated with triptolide for 40 days showed no further incidence of tumors, even after ceasing treatment. Ashok Saluja, vice chairman of research and the study's leader, told Bloomberg, "You could see every day you looked at those mice, the tumor was decreasing and decreasing, and then just gone."

Scientists at John Hopkins School of Medicine also found extracts of lei gong teng to be effective in eliminating cancerous tumors. Jun O. Liu, Ph.D., professor of pharmacology and molecular sciences at Johns Hopkins, notes:

"... triptolide has been shown to block the growth of all 60 U.S. National Cancer Institute cell lines at very low doses, and even causes some of those cell lines to die."

Apparently, the compound impedes the manufacture of new RNA, thereby curbing cancerous proliferation in mice. These findings are laying the foundation for human clinical trials in the near future.

Triptolide has been shown to inhibit colorectal, pancreatic and ovarian cancers, among others. Rheumatoid arthritis and autoimmune disorders like multiple sclerosis and lupus respond to lei gong teng as well.

Since the herb can cause serious side effects, including loss of bone density, headache and infertility, it is important to consult a qualified TCM practitioner before use.

The Maggie May singer has confessed he relied on the drug to help soothe his vocal cords ahead of gigs.

But the habit had a number of nasty side-effects, including reducing the size of his manhood.

In an interview with Mojo magazine, he said: �I let myself down on tours in the late �80s when I was addicted to steroids. In those days we didn�t have in-ear monitors and the band kept getting louder and drunker, and I kept blowing my voice out.

�The steroids will take down the swelling in any membrane � including your k**b � and it�s what you do when you�re in a bit of a pinch and need to do a show and you can�t sing.�

Despite the benefit to his voice, the 68-year-old rocker says the drugs made him �bloated� and had more serious repercussions when he suffered from internal bleeding.

He explained: �Steroids make you fat and bloated, you can�t sleep and you get really irritable. It�s one of the most horrible drugs in the world.

�One night, on stage in Sheffield, I thought I was in the kitchen with my mum because the steroids had eaten a hole in my stomach. I was bleeding internally and hallucinating. What the audience must have thought?�

Rod � who has overcome thyroid cancer � still uses steroids around �once a year� to help him through a particularly challenging performance.

However, he feels the after-effects for days.

He added: �I will still use them around once a year if I�m really struggling. It gets you through the show, but you pay for it. You can�t sing for a week.�

Whats up RX!

Sitting here 1 year out from my IFBB Debut-2014 NY Pro! I've been training hard since Nationals and had a strong focus on having a good showing in my debut. With now being exactly 1 year out, my focus and drive is even more serious. Current weight in vid 165lbs. I plan to take a full 8 month off-season to get my weight around 175-80 and I plan to be around 160-165 in my debut, which will put me 17lbs+ bigger than I was at the Nationals, where I was 143lbs.

Plan to pump a tons of vids going forward. Here is my most recent...enjoy!

For those sleeping on the current state of bodybuilding it�s safe to say you�re missing out on something big happening. For as long as I�ve followed bodybuilding I don�t remember there being this much disdain with the direction many competitors are taking their physiques. While I don�t mind the comic book science experiment bodybuilder, many want it to go away. Change may one day come, but classic bodybuilding is right in front of everyone�s face in the 212 division.

Heavy, labored breathing and bulk.

I just finished for the second time Ric Drasin's interview of Rich Piana. I am a major fan of both men. Never met, Rich....Ric is a friend. I was disturbed at Rich's labored breathing. I have had that on my only bulk over 250 (I am one thin ecto mofo, avitar says it all) and notice the same on many, not all, other big men like Rich.

Old school was to do 20 min cardio several times per day to get the lungs and vascular system in line with the bulk. Runs along the beach, vollyball and basketball games were common. We also had our blood checked for RBC and regular HBP monitoring. Baby asprin and periotic Red Cross blood donations kept the thicker blood and HRBC count in check.

My personal belief is that there should be no long term life extension issues once the athlete chills a bit by his 60s, 70s.That is if he has regular Dr. visits and blood panels done. My mentor Harry Pearl (Bills brother) was near 300 pounds at 35 then 175 at age 65.

Sometimes the labored, heavy breathing can creep into sleep issues.

Am I the only one seeing this. Or, is it accepted as 'normal'?

Women have always been difficult to prep IMO. Emotions and hormones running rampant. Needing in depth attention (which I don't mind as I give everyone equal attention) -- but the roller coaster ride is sometimes more than I like to waste time on.

However -- in 2013, I have come across some seriously mentally tough girls that followed plans to-the-T.

Here's the question: how much pretentious nonsense are you willing to wade through? Because Bench Press contains some interesting philosophical discussions about bodybuilding�but they're buried in mounds of excruciatingly smug ramblings.

Bench Press is a series of 85 brief numbered passages, ranging from a few sentences to a few pages in length, inspired by author Sven Lindqvist's decision in middle age to begin working out. As Lindqvist trains, he finds that improving his body also expands his imagination and, most significantly, reawakens his long-dead dream to visit the Sahara desert. Bench Press bounces back and forth between bodybuilding philosophy, weight-training history, and personal imaginings to explore this transformation.

Lindqvist is incisive when he actually focuses on bodybuilding, such as when he explores why society approves of the countless hours he spends revising his written work but condemns as vanity the hours he spends honing his body. Even so, traces of irritating affectation shine through: Lindqvist couches many of his observations as conversations between himself and a bodybuilder who he dubs "Virgil," simply to echo Dante's use of Virgil as a spiritual guide in the Divine Comedy.

But the bigger problem is how Lindqvist illustrates his central theme that pushing the body can also cause the subconscious to explode into life. Much of Bench Press does nothing more than spew forth a series of random, self-important images and reflections. Some are completely disconnected from anything surrounding them:

A fat white cotton rope with a big knot at the end. Water, sun, summer. The white rope is running into the water, soft and supple. But suddenly there's resistance, like when a fish bites, and the rope tightens. Summer vanishes. Darkness descends. The water freezes. Only the rope remains, quivering, taut.

Other times the reveries are at least tenuously linked to the themes of the book, but still veer off down strange paths in Lindqvist's head:

I was forever performing the bench press. The weights increased over the years. In the end, love became an impossible lift. A weight I couldn't shift.

When you 'capture' someone, what you really capture is a position of eternal inferiority.

I imagine that these passages are supposed to illustrate the rebirth of Lindqvist's creative passions. To me, they're just dull. And because they take up a large percentage of Bench Press' short page count, they overwhelm the actual substance of the book. In the end, I was impressed with Lindqvist's insights about bodybuilding when he could be bothered to make them, but was left with tremendous frustration at a book that was essentially insufferable.

I know Dave mentioned on Heavy Muscle Radio that he's kind of over the whole subject, but personally speaking I just can't get enough of it. Chris spews the best venom towards Sweet N' Low Shawn Ray and delivers it with excellent comedic timing. This feud/controversy is even better than the Kai/Farrah/Ron Noreman debacle after last year's Olympia.

I might be alone on this, but I could hear the two of them go back and forth all summer :)

Greetings, everyone! We're now 8 weeks away from the 3rd Annual NPC Orlando Metropolitan & Florida State High School Championships. We would like to take the time to thank all of those who have supported and participated in the last two renditions of the event. As we continue to grow, we anticipate this year's production to be the most competitive and exciting yet!

The show this year will be held on July 6, exactly one week prior to the 2013 rendition of the NPC Southern States. We're expecting a great turnout, and we're also planning some special awards for all of our competitors such as entry fee reimbursement for Division winners to either the NPC Southern States or NPC Teen, Collegiate, & Masters Nationals, so be sure to mark the date (as an FYI, because of the date change this year, all Class of 2013 High School graduates will remain eligible for the State High School show)!

Juan Morel - can he win NY Pro this year?

After watching this I am really excited for this guys future. It looks like he made serious improvements in chest thickness and overall back development. There's really no clear favourite before NY Pro.

Cedric's genetics will battle Vic who has insane symmetry. Big Ramy will be making his pro debut with contest weight about 280? 290? He'll be the biggest guy on stage with freaky bodyparts. IMO he is as good as Ben Pakulski and 100% Ben Palulski would be contender here. Juan can be X factor of the show. Young guy who knows how important is 100% conditioning. He is winner and he proved it last year after NY Pro.

NY Pro is going 2013's most exciting show so far with no clear man to beat. Aaron Clark, Antoine Vaillant and many other guys will make their pro debut so they can stand next to already successful pros.

Can't wait.
