Aww, shucks! Thank you so much! This site is definitely helping me stay on track, especially with how i diet and train since I made a commitment to track it publicly every day! You look amazing, by the way!!!
Hi Lorrie, No problem. Hoped it help. People's bodies are so different and what works for some may not work for others. If you don't try new things, you will never know what works and what doesn't. You should see people's faces when I am 3 weeks out and stuffing my face full of muffins, pop-tarts, and pancakes. They say "You cannot eat that this close to a show." Oh yeah, watch me!!! I don't like being a sheep with anything I do in life and that goes for bodybuilding. I have always bucked the system and as a result I learned that once a week I can eat junk, fruit works well during my prep, lifting only 3 days a week is ideal for me, and doing any more than 4 half hour cardio sessions a week is counter productive. If I did not experiment I would be eating nothing but chicken and yams, lifting 6 days a week, and doing hours of cardio. No disrespect to anyone else but my way is more fun! Are you getting ready for a contest? Kevin
Hi Lorrie, I am like the little kid who when told he cannot do something, constantly asks "why"? I have always felt great with fruit. I digest it well, have lots of energy, and fruit has lots of nutrients and fiber. I was so tired of people saying you need to drop fruit while prepping that I decided to buck the system and eat only fruit as my carb source. I ate mostly berries, apples, and pears with some kiwi and grapes. The rest of my plan stayed as it always had....That is carb cycling. I consumed most of my carbs in the early part of the day and dropped the fruit and switched to protein/fat in the latter part of the day. One day a week I had a refeed where I consumed all high glycemic carbs (muffins. kid's cereal, pancakes). This prep I am doing a mixture of fruit and traditional "bodybuilding carbs." While I loved the results I got from the all fruit prep, I like to experiment and constantly "think outside the box". I hope this helps! - Kevin
Thank you for dropping as well as the kind words. Don't be a stranger!
