I think you can take CM before and after a workout on workout days. I know people talk about taking 3g a day but CM is so cheap I believe in risking taking too much than not enough and going with more like 10g a day if you're training hard. I don't know on the cooked oatmeal thing. I'd play it safe and not do that, but I don't know. The sugar free jello mixes from what I've seen usually have maltodextrin so look out for that. It's not a sugar but it's a high GI carb. If it doesn't have anything like that or any food starch then it should be fine.
