Last winter I started aas and went back on that bulk diet and have put on more fat than I was hoping, about 16% right now at 200lbs. Just started keto to get lean for summer and might do a show in October depending on my conditioning. I have been doing that same routine for a year and a half and feel like I am stuck a little. Anything else you can think of?
Here is the run down, I was a drug addict that had never lifted a day in my life, I got clean 3 years ago and gained like 75 lbs. in 6 months, I was almost 300 lbs. and I knew that I better do something. I started doing herbalife shakes (like slimfast I guess) and cardio everyday and got down to 190 lbs. I met up with a guy at the gym that has been doing competitions for years, he gave me Dave Polumbos bulk diet and showed me a routine that is basically:
2 light reps of 8 on first lift and then 2 sets of 8 heavy on about 6-8 different exercises per body group. mon shoulders and arms, tuesday back, thurs chest, fri legs. The diet was a little much going from living on herbalife shakes and I got pretty heavy over next 4 months, about 232lbs. When they went on keto for their show, I joined them and dieted down to 170 and about 8%, still had some loose skin on lower abs.
