Autoimmune sucks.

75 mg isn't that high a dose, I think the average for hypothyroid patients is 165 mcg.

I find it odd he questioned the drug supplier, rather than just upping your dose to 100 mcg.

This is the other issue, levothyroxine sodium is super, super cheap.

From the British National Formulary (it is a book that anyone can buy that lists all the drugs that can be supplied in the UK)

25 mcg 28 pack = £ 1.44
50 mcg 28 pack = £ 0.69
100 mcg 28 pack = £ 0.84

At that cost I don't see the benefit of not producing the tablets correctly and risking law suits.

The ones I have right now are Almus, I think they are generic brand.

I have had at least one other brand, it depends if I get them from my local pharmacy or the hospital pharmacy.
I don't pay for them, I get all of my prescriptions free now as I have a life-long medical condition.

Have you had any blood work that indicates that there isn't any T4 in your medications?

I often query pharmaceutical companies swaying doctor's opinions with all sorts of gifts and perks.

If there isn't a substantial difference in costs, I would go with it, however, I really doubt that a huge manufacturer would be able to hide that for any amount of time.
