Hey Jill!
Big congrats on the move and the new job! Will be following along.
Congrat's on the move and making job changes to make you Happy!!
We are hoping to relocate to AZ within the next 1-2 years.
Let me know when you do! Seems to be a pretty good competition community here, tho I'm still finding my own way around. Some familiar faces from "the industry" already!
Where in AZ are you considering?

HA! I do miss not being able to turn around in my cube at the corp HQ where I used to sit next to our primary tech/product guy and primary backend guy. That said, I still know their email addresses & cell phone numbers if I need them. Outside of work, I've found a decent tech community here in the valley, initially via Meetup.com and hopefully I'll hook up w/ some other orgs and possibly pick up some classes at ASU for shits & grins. Mostly I really like working from home. If I need a break I can jump in the pool or step outside and mow my lawn.
I like folks who know how to make fun of them self and still loves themselves. that was way to funny, lolol.:)
and congrad on ur move:) u 50, yea right. u only look 25:)
I'm looking at the big 4-9 in about 10 days right now. Ugh. Keep the botox coming!
I really laugh about my "whiteness" because I am a pale skinned, blonde German / Swede from way the hell up north in MN w/ ultra nice parents and nothing "cool" about me :) Peeps from up north are goofy enough as it is, and there's nuttin you can do but laugh and enjoy the "Fargo" stigma. And I'm a physics major to boot. The original Nerd. Thus... "Wonder"!
I thank God for good spray tan services for competition and good A/C, sun block and big hats being the "white bread" in Phoenix.
Thx COG!
7/4/14 - Fri
I should probably be more consistent here about just updating stuff. It's been more than a week since the last gym visit, but in my defense, I'm back on the clock at work and have been out & about picking up stuff I need for the house, and I'll admit to a few "meetup" groups last week just to get out and start meeting people. I got a killer deal on a bistro-style dining room table and chairs and spent the last 2 nights putting those things together and pretty much blowing my back out in the process - hunching over chair parts and screwing things w/ a little allen wrench is not conducive to great mobility.
Training: Leg Day Suckas! (It's been months since my last leg day ...)
20 min DeFranco warmup
squats: 20/bodywt, bar/ 10, 10/bodywt, 95/10 x 3 95/5 + 5 squat jump x 3 -- ughhh pussy!!!!!!
leg press: 270/10 x 3 --ughhh weakkkkk!
alt leg press: 90/7-5-3 x 2
db SLDL... yea this didn't go well - my lower back is just too tweaky.
lying leg curl: 60/20 x 3
leg ext: 60/15 x 3 --- didnt' like these - weird machines

- abductor: 60/15 x 3 - ugh weakkkkkkk!
sled push: 20 steps / sled + 45 plate x 3 ---- dying ...!
30 min walking cardio
20 min foam roller
Then:
- raked the front yard after a dust storm that hit Phx last night
- mowed the lawn - ok I have a small lawn, but I use a rotary mower (i.e. manual) and it was 97 degrees outside
- 30 min skimming my pool for all the dirt, leaves and debris that blew in w/ the storm
- 30 min just floating around in the pool - HEAVEN!

Shape of squished white ball of carbs!
7/7/14 - Mon
Day off. I can barely move from leg day, finally getting enough stiffness gone so I can actually feel the quad DOMS.
7/8/14 - Tues
Day off. However I spent the evening toting around a new printer (office jet, not a little desktop!) and configuring it. I would call that "Deadlift day".
7/9/13 - Wed
Cardio day: jumping up and down for 3 hrs at a KISS / Def Leppard concert, potentially also sprints from the amphitheater lawn to the car if the predicted monsoon storm hits.
