I got one copy of the Muscle Mob magazine & was in correspondence with the editor for awhile. I believe it was David, not you. I went to London in March 2001 & asked him to meet me while I was there, but he said he was too busy to come into the City to do so.
Ok. David lived then, as he does now, some distance away. I went to a competition down there and it's a fkin slow ass fuck train. Like 4+ hours each way. No fast / express train at all. Dave is/was one of our most prolific physical culture writers. Not only writing for a LOT of the US magazines but pretty much every single UK magazine. At one pint he nigh on wrote very item in one issue of Bodypower magazine. He's a nice guy too. Plus his wife Rose makes a great cake :D

Had a bit of fun with the lads at the gym. This included (with his permission) ordering bits on the owners card for the gym. This included 50-kilo and 25-kilo plates and 4 kettlebells.

R 25-kilos x 9 reps @
What does "ordering bits on the owner's card" mean?
The bits of equipment I listed. The kettlebells are 28, 32, 40 and 44 kilos. He also paid £300 for a £700 competition bar.
He trusted me to look up prices, suppliers etc and then, with him standing nearby, order the items. Heck, I'll probably end up unloading them from the truck ha ha. In fact I made a point of suggesting some hashtags to push his brand plus a couple of other ideas to drive trade.
Having owned a supplement company, put on competitions etc I told him we need to do a weekly update thing like #thisweekatpowerhouse and include photos of the new kit.
I did a video of my hammer curling the 80-kilo dumbbells and was wearing one of the new gym t-shirts (given to me for free ha ha). It's also worth mentioning I don't pay membership for helping out.
Sunday
Two hand pinch
to 103.7-kilos x 4 x 1 reps - 1/2-kilos more than last time
Monday
I ended up missing out on wrist roller work due to time constraints. This wasn't helped by my assisting with the unloading of the new toys (photos and plugs of the same added to Facebook for the gym). The 50kg / 110lb discs are suitably huge lol
Leg Press
to 620-kilos x 8 reps
Power squat machine
to 400-kilos x 8 reps - no spot
Seated Leg Curls
to stack +5p (couldn't find the 6th) x 12 reps
Leg Extensions
to stack +5p (couldn't find the 6th) x 12 reps
I also did a few swings with the new 44-kilo (about 90-95 or so pounds) Kettlebell for the camera / gym Facebook page
Unloading the "toys" probably gave you a workout.
It could've been harder but I had help.
