He could still beat Phil. Jay would probably play the mass game again just to beat Phil and win his fifth. Kinda sucks for his fans like me knowing he was dethroned but he's still my bodybuilding hero.

I wonder if Jay ever wanted to go for 1 more shot at the O?
He was unbeatable in his prime

Yeah. 2005 and 2001 Jay should have won imo.

2001 you could argue yes even though I still thought Ronnie was the rightful winner. 2005 - hell no. As good as he was, the only clear cut win for me was 2009. Even that is tainted as they deliberately compared him to Branch who had no business placing ahead of Dexter. Ronnie should have won number 9 in 2006 and if it wasn't Ronnie, it should have been Vic or Dex.
Jay definitely could have a won in 01, physique wise. Remember, he's 2 inches shorter than Ronnie and was holding his own. Not to mention he was shredded t the bone that year with sunken abs, whereas Ronnies was bloated as usual. I think if the judges today were judging Mr olympia before, Ronnie would not have won due to his bloated gut or stomach sticking out.
Same thing, in 05, ROnnie's stiull had the gut but it was pretty close, I honestly believe it could have gone either way, because Jay was really on that year. Probably one of his best conditioning besides 09 conditioning.
In 06, Jay was the clear winner because, he had everything; size, thickness, roundess, symmetry, conditioning and confidence. Therefore, he definitely deserved the win.
