Question on Keto and Refeeds
HI,.
I have been doing keto for a while, and mixed in carb cycling... The carbs cycling didnt work to well... But on keto my weight stayed up.. didn't lose any weight for around 6-8 weeks..
maybe hit a plateau or a growth spurt... I am stronger, and looking a little leaner....
I find that if I go up top 120 hr while on keto, i hold weight.. 100hr or 110hr is ok...
my progress is slow..... I tried working with dave, but after 28 weeks of low carbs, I lost weight last year for a show, but i was not in shape.. we find that carbs make me fat... no matter in any ratios....
I tried to go back to TKD diet... 30g carbs pre WO/ 30g carbs post...
then 200 g pro
200 fat daily
I weight 207-209, it bounces up and down....
42, 25 years of hard training... my body has adapted to most types if not all types of training...
I have been reading in this thread about "carb types" and "fat types" my guess is that I am a Fat type....
3 days ago, i tried low cardio at 100hr, and bumped up fat intake....
bacon
hot dogs
cheese
more egg yolks
mac oil
more fish oil
around 100 more calories and lost 1.8 pounds in 3 days....
So my guess is that this is what i need to be doing..
I worked with dave, the calories were around 2500 or so with my weight at 230.... I think it was too low, I noticed that i got weak, and lost inches in my arms, legs etc.....
When I was 22 and competed I weight 196, and on stage at 168, 6%... I was eating 2200-2500.....
How can I eat that low of a diet and maintain muscle... at 207...
Does anyone know if this the right calorie range for me?
How could I be the same calorie range from 168--- to 207 with much more muscle....
I tried the high fatter foods the last few days and the weights were moving much easier... I also got a huge pump... I measured my arms at 17 cold then 17 3/4 after workout....
When doing daves keto, no pump or maybe at times.... 1/4 inch if i was lucky...
if anyone would like to jump in and help me figure this out, please help...

Refeeds:
when going 7 days then refeeds, i was normally eating burger and fries with a poweraide.... that seemed to be working...then as we took out the cheats... I looked like shit and never could get a pump of carb up at the show...
One week i did, baby food banana's, poweraide, rice every 2 hrs, and later burger and fries then pancakes... all the fat and carbs together, which I see is a no no here.... I filled up and looked much better the next day.....
I think after reading this, I need HUGE refeeds every 5-6 days or maybe every 4th day.....
I am not sure, trial and error.....
Dave tells me that my body is strange.... I tried clen and t3 but my resting HR went up to 110.... going off, back to 60 hr resting....
