Tribulus
Any of you ladies ever use tribulus? I have done a little research and it seems to have some benefits of strength gains and increased libido via increases in testosterone levels. I realize with the alteration of hormones within the female body you run the risk of certain adverse side affects, however, that was another reason for my asking about any ladies experiences with the use of this supplement... What doses did you use? Did you like the results when using it, etc.?

For guys it's useless. I know a few girls that tried it and got no results. Doesn't seem worth the risk of irreversable sides for no results imo.

Ostarine is the one I would advise you to look into.

There are a few natural things you might try before spending big money on supps.
Fresh or freeze dried garlic has shown efficacy in a rat study for raising endogenous T production. I tried both about 4 years ago when I was still natty and it did in fact increase my total T production about 30%. Enough to notice a bump in sex drive and modest increase in the rate of strength gains.
Another thing to try is zinc in a well absorbed form like zinc picolinate. this can work if you're zinc deficient. If your diet is rich in whole wheat, cereals, oats, long grain brown rice, etc and/or you consume caffeine daily you probably are deficient. Try about 300mg of elemental zinc dissolved in water away from caffiene and away from foods with a lot of phytic acid for best absorption. I didn't check serum T levels before I started it so I can't speak to my personal hormonal changes on it, but as with the garlic I did notice increased sex drive, improvement in strength gains, and improved aggression and energy in the gym.
Neither compares to running gear, but both are completely free of sides (stinky breath notwithstanding) and are cheap.Last edited by LookImDancinCrazy!; 12-03-2012 at 04:15 PM.

I tried running tribulus several years ago - what I got was mostly acne and gained some weight. Don't particularly recall any sexual sensitivity increase or anything like that, but I definitely got an increase in acne & oily skin. Maybe some strength gain, but it was part of a bulker diet at the time. Based on the acne I'd venture there was a some amount of hormone flux, but it wasn't really that great.

I tried in the past as well. Noticed acne and that was about it! Not worth the money!
