Ronnie Coleman Signature Series™ signs China’s top bodybuilder
RONNIE COLEMAN SIGNATURE SERIES™ SIGNS CHINA’S TOP BODYBUILDER
November 29, 2012- Ronnie Coleman Signature Series™ is proud to announce the official signing of China’s top bodybuilder Zhang Hong Yu aka the “Quad-Zilla” of China… Coming off a fresh victory at the China Bodybuilding Championship, Quad-Zilla has aspirations of making his USA debut at the Arnold Amateur in 2014. From the looks of it there’s one guarantee… He will have the biggest wheels on stage!
This marks the first time Ronnie Coleman Signature Series™ has signed an international athlete.
“When I started this company I made a promise to give back to the bodybuilding community and given that we are a global brand, our goal is to sign bodybuilders from all over the world and help them achieve their dreams. Most of them have tremendous potential but don’t have the means to compete at a professional level. Whether its supplements or money for travel we want to give them a chance to be the best they can be,” said Ronnie.
Living up to his moniker of Quad-Zilla, Zhang Hong Yu stands 6’2 tall and competes at 255lbs! The scariest part is his frame has plenty of room to grow!
“I had a chance to spend some time with Zhang Hong Yu during my tour in China and I was blown away with what he has been able to accomplish with so little. Given his age and time competing, this kid has the potential to be a major freak in a couple of years. His legs are way bigger than most pros and he has limited resources. We are excited to help him grow,” said Ronnie.
Ronnie Coleman Signature Series™ will continue to expand its global athlete roster in 2013. If you think you have what it takes please email [email protected]

If half of 1,300,000,000 people spent 1 dollar on bodybuilding products that would be 650,000,000... Multiply that by 35 for the average price of a supplement.. Geez
I am curious to what percentage of americans take supplements.Last edited by Jp2007; 11-30-2012 at 03:06 PM.

I think RCSS is one of the smartest companies out there... signing Shawn, doing funny videos with Ronnie and now signing this guy from China. I think they will be the biggest company in next 3 years

Great QUADZ !!! The china market is massive just like India so this is a huge signing for Ronnie Coleman nutrition for I'm guessing less then a established IFBB PRO would cost them.

A new survey estimates that one in seven people in the United States regularly takes supplements that aren't vitamins or minerals -- such as fish oil, echinacea or ginseng -- but only 30 percent of them have had a doctor or nurse recommend supplements.
About one-third of supplement users have not alerted their doctor, even though they may take the drug for a potentially serious health issue, such as high blood pressure, arthritis or depression, the survey found.
"These are things that clinicians often treat with more complex treatments," said Robert Blendon, a professor of health policy at Harvard School of Public Health and co-author of a letter in the Nov. 19 issue of the journal Archives of Internal Medicine. "They need to be aware that people are using this as one form of treatment."
Although supplement use is widespread, not much is known about why people take these capsules, syrups and tablets, the researchers said. To address that gap, they surveyed nearly 1,600 people in the United States in 2011, weighing the answers to make the demographics of the group reflect those of the country at large.
Of those surveyed, 38 percent said they'd taken supplements -- but not vitamins or minerals -- in the past two years, and 14 percent said they did so regularly.

The bodybuilding scene here is pretty limited. Sponsorships are also nowhere to be found at all. If somebody does get sponsored its by their local gyms......thats it. I've known a couple of monsters here over the years but they just lose interest after a while because bodybuilding here leads to nothing. So its nice to see somebody here get sponsored by a big company. If word gets around, hopefully this will bring some of the monsters out of hiding.
Another thing to note is that regional shows here cap off at a weight limit of 85kgs........ So a lot of the bigger guys have nowhere to compete and test the waters before the national comps. I've been asked to compete a few times recently, but if I make 85kgs @ 6' I will be way too skinny, lol.
