A little bit about ME...The MANIMAL
Well, I am 26 years old, have been lifting for a good 9 years. Didn't lift in High school at all (even though I wrestled from 4th grade until 11th), and decided to go out for the college football team (Denison University in Granville, OH), the end of my freshman year. I stuck with the team for a full year, and while I decided to focus more on my academics than sports, I continued to lift. I was bitten by the iron bug
Fast forward to a couple years later, I am now living in sunny St. Petersburg, FL (Been a midwest boy my whole life; originally from Indiana), hold a job as an accountant at a brokerage firm and have competed in a total of 3 shows (all natural organization)
This past year (2012) I decided I needed a LONG off season and that I was going to make my NPC debut in 2013.
Right now I am sitting at about 233 lbs, at 5'11" (6 ft on a good day). I have very limited usage of Pro hormones as I have ONLY ever used two. A bottle of Halo Extreme and Katanadrol; besides that my usage with anything is very very limited.
I am going to use this log to do the best I can with this great product.
My lifting is revolved around Heavy weight and high reps. I feel this is the best for my body (as sometimes I will go as low as 8 reps, but again I am focusing on mind muscle contraction and NOT just moving weight).
I am doing cardio after EVER training session for about 20 minutes a day, go between the treadmill and the arc trainer.
Diet will follow in next thread!!!!

Here is my current diet which I have been using for a while as well as the other supplements I have been using:
Meal 1: 8 egg whites, 2 yolks and 1/2 cup of lean ground beef
Meal 2: 1 Cup of 0% fat, plain Greek yogurt (with splenda and cinnamon) and a handful of almonds
Meal 3: 1 cup of spinach, 7 oz of chicken and 1 table spoon of EVOO
Meal 4: 7 oz of chicken, 5 oz of red potato, 1 cup of green beans
Meal 5: 6 egg whites, 2 yolks, and 5 oz of red potato (pre workout meal)
Meal 6: 50 g of whey isolate, 20 g of carbs (post workout shake)
Meal 7: 8 oz of white fish, 1/2 cup of jasmine rice, and 2 cups of veggies
Meal 8: 4 egg white and 2 table spoons of natural peanut butter
As for supps, its also very simply:
Dymatize Elite (Whey Isolate) - Vanilla
Creatine Mono
Fish Oil
Vitamin C
Vitamin B12
Vitamin D3
Occasional Pre Workout, right now just doing Creatine, and some caffeine.
I keep it very simple and try to mostly focus on food.
Might pick up some BCAA's in the future

Day 1:
Just a normal day, took my two doses split up at about 6 hours apiece, I take them both during my meal.
One thing I noticed (and it may just be me) I felt HOT all day. Like I had this weird warming sensation all day. And this is the ONLY new thing I have added to my prep.
Hit chest tonight, not really crazy to gloat about just your standard chest workout
3 sets of seated flyes (to warm up the chest)
4 sets of incline dumbbell (with the last set being a burn out)
4 sets of flat dumbbell
4 sets of dips
3 sets of hammer strength (one arm)
2 sets of incline hammer stregth
3 sets of cable cross overs
then abs and cardio
2 sets of

Day 2!!!
This was a LEG FROM HELL workout (or as some call it a John Meadows Moutain Dog inspired workout)
I got one of his leg workouts that I have done in the past off of T Nation (which I will break down in a minute)
But FIRST, the GYM JAM of the evening and its even a PJ Braun (cheap plug) favorite:
Now, everything felt good. Felt the warming sensation again, and I also noticed that I was warmer than usual in the gym. So something must be happening!!!! I did notice that I got pumped a bit faster tonight (might have been from the M-Sten or could have just been that I consumed more water than normal lol)
*Seated leg curl, 4 sets.
2 x 20 (warm-up)
1 x 14
1 x 12
1 x 10 - Max weight was about 180
Add weight each set. Rest 1 minute between sets.
1 x 35 reps (!)*
* Leg Press, 3 sets.
3 x warm up sets.
3 x16, heavy weight plus high reps. Got to about 6 plates each side
*Machine type squats or hack squats, 4 sets.
1 x warm up set
3 x 8*
I started with hacks, but my knee started feeling funny, so I went to the squat machine (did about 6 plates per side)
* Smith machine squat, 3 sets. Used the 65 lb bar with about a 45 on each side, by this time I was SPENT
2 x 8 reps with a full range of motion,
1 x 8* This set included a 1-1/2 technique
*Dumbbell stiff leg deadlifts, 4 x 12 reps.
*2 Sets of leg extensions (25 reps)
* 6 Sets of calfs (2 different exercises)
and then 20 min of cardio
Overall great workout, kinda of beat and tired, but I need to stay up as I have to go pick up a friend from the airport tonight at 11!!!!
Tomorrow is shoulders, if anybody wants to know anything special let me know!!!Last edited by ManimalPatB; 12-11-2012 at 08:33 PM.

Day 3!!!
Today was a normal day like any other. But for some reason I felt bloated and lethargic all day long, like nothing else has changed in my diet and the M-Sten is the only thing new.
Even checked my weight after the gym and I was up to about 235 (but it didn't feel like a GOOD 235, this is the first time I felt FAT)
I am going to drop my last meal from tonight (the egg whites and peanut butter) and see if that has been hurting my digestion. OR maybe I just need to take a big dump, hopefully tomorrow will be a better day
GYM JAM:
Tonight hit SHOULDERS and ABS
Started off with 4 sets of side lateral raises
then moved to military dumbbell press (4 sets)
Reverse Peck Deck (4 sets)
Front raises (with barbell) 2 sets
Barbell Military Press (HEAVY) 3 sets
Machine Side Raises 3 sets of 30 to 40 reps
Barbell shrugs 5 sets
Behind the back shrugs 3 sets
Did a little bit of cardio, so can't complain too much. Legs are still stiff from last night
Hopefully I feel "better" tomorrow!!!!
