I'm all for the Top Squat bar. Have had one for about 5 yr now, I think.
It also fits on smith bars, so you can use it there for squats, lunges, romanian split squats, etc. (It grips the bar well enough to allow you to latch and unlatch the bar.)

I find that even if there's not an extremely tight fit of the topsquat on the smith bar, after you've unracked, the downward force of the bar into the TS makes for a firm hold on the bar.

Starting to do all my bar leg work w the TS. Smith and BB Squats along with walking lunges. I love the way it transfers the weight more to the quads, coming out of the hole is a mf bitcha but it seems way more effective
