not trying to be mean either,, but his depth in his 315 challenge weeks ago had a lot of 3/4ish reps .. hes got a sway in his back [ which means tight hip flexors on one side] which i know effects his depth..
if you're going to post and post squats vids expect critisim ..ive been getting it for over 20 yrs.. this was just friendly advice .. i know hes going to try and do bros vs pros and i know how Bryan judges depth.. better now to fix it then get reps taken away for missing the mark

Matt and Derik are both animals... you need to have brass balls to get past 25 reps with 405.

I appreciate the advice Derik. I know you have way more knowledge on how the body works when it comes to these things and what could be wrong. I will work on it. I am very new to this high rep thing, so I appreciate the help. I only mention you because I consider you the best at this stuff soo.. why not reach for the stars lol.

would love to see bench, deads, curls, pulldowns, pushdowns, oh press. etc. done in a heavy weight high rep fashion over period of time.
i wonder what gains could be made or type of physique changes if any.Last edited by Friendly Milkshake; 12-20-2012 at 04:24 AM. Reason: pubes

Matty- I have sort of a serious training question for you. Is the high reps because you've gone past the point of diminishing returns when it comes to going really heavy? I used to see posts from you going insanely heavy and I used to do the same. I realized a few years ago have the mindset of "I must go to 6 plates on squats or deadlifts" really took me to a place of no growth, sore joints, and being burnt out.
I haven't gone over 405 on squats and 405 on deadlifts in over 3 years and my growth has accelerated.
just curious your thoughts.
