I really hope someone shows these guys the light and has them quit their million dollar jobs in order to chase some plastic trophies or $3,000 checks if they are really good.

I remember playing against him in high school and had the fun task of lining up against him in practice. I was already playing at FSU when he played in that HS Championship and remember some of the guys on my team telling me he was committed to FSU. Never really trained hard once he got into the program. Really just turned it on his senior year and the rest is history.

I followed him. He went the furthest out of anyone on that HS team. 6 guys got D1 rides, but yeah, His last year at FSU he put on 20lbs and played at about 285lbs and then for the combine he was just over 300lbs. I don't know what he did, but he is still in the NFL and can't hate on the money his is making now. He was a former first rounder. I honestly don't think he will last much longer. He was never that mentaly strong. Anyone could get in his head.

Vernon Gholston tied the highest bench press score at the NFL combine with 37 repetitions at 225 pounds.

Michigans Jake Long also did 37 reps in the same combine. Another Michigan man, Will Johnson, did 47 at his pro day a year later but did not get an invite to the combine.

Another True genetic freak and just raw talent was Elijah Dukes. He kept getting into trouble though. He played multiple sports at 4 diff high schools. He could throw 94mph as a freshman and hit homers like nothing. Went to another school and played football, and killed it there, another school and played basketball. Kept getting kicked out of schools though. Made it to MLB for a while and I believe his firt AB was a HR. Strong, fast, laser cannon, jump. Just can't stay out of trouble though. His Wiki says track, but I don't remember him running track.

This years 1st rd talent is awful!!! Good move IMO...well they could have gone with a 2nd and gotten away with it....Anquan Boldin (my ex-teammate) went to the 49ers for a 6th rd pick!!! WTF
