    Default pre w/o slin vs post w/o

    i just want to hear which way you guys perfer using slin, which type, and why. i myself like to use post w/o humulin R because i feel i have more control over it if i should start to feel hypo. so lets hear it gents...

    I prefer preworkout as I lift later in the day. I use Novolog currently.

    gotcha, ive always done post w/o since i lift earlier in the day. i feel like i can take advantage of the peak and really focus on hammering the food instead of having it peak while im training and then having to focus on training, getting in the nutrition, and not going hypo, lol.

    With enough carbs in my pre its never an issue. Leg day pushes it a little bit but never hypo. I like the peak during as I feel the muscles are ready to absorb the most nutrients and less spill over towards accumulating fat.

    fast and reg slin pre and fast slin post was my preferred method.

    if your only pinning once id use reg slin pre because the slin will be active from your pre w/o meal through your post w/o meal. you have something to gain at both times. slin is one of the greatest w/o boosters there is if you do it right.

    ok joe, so since i use humulin-R, you think it would be more beneficial to use it pre w/o with that meal? the way i do it now is pre w/o meal about 1 hr prior, then lift, weight gainer and slin immediately when i get home, and another meal an hour later....so my question i guess is how would that change if i were to do the slin pre w/o

    it may not have to change at all. how much slin are you using? what is in your pre w/o meal? how much time goes by between your pre and post w/o meals?

    Here is the question. I love SLIN but HATE...I mean HATE intraworkout drinks. I also hate being all full and shit. So I feel like when I try it preworkout I'm so obsessed with carbs I eat a huge meal, then some huge carb shake with aminos during the workout and I'm just so damn full and bloated it's hard to train.

    Am I just being to paranoid? Could I pull this off...

    10 IU humulin R (its all I got) 1 to 1.5 hour pre workout
    meal with 100grams carbs (potatoes, oats, etc)
    gatorade during workout ~60 carbs
    shake with 70-80 carbs immediately post workout

    I workout very intensely, short rest periods, high volume. Only workout about an hour though.

    would that be pushing it? I want to pass out lol

    Flex that looks like more than enough carbs. Maybe even too many.

    i start off with 8-10 iu's is what i use. my pre workout meal is 4-5 whole eggs, 3 slices of bacon, and hash browns or oatmeal...i would say that from the time i finish my pre w/o meal, to the time i start my post w/o shake (which is immediately after i get home from training) 2-3 hours have gone by. then i have a whole food meal an hour after my shake.

    yeah I think it's just I get so paranoid with the pre slin. I gotta chill out! I've never even had even close to a hypo episode so I think i just need to chill.

    I take 12iu Humulin-R with 5 meals daily, so my answer would be pre & post w/o.

    I have tested blood glucose but not during a workout. I don't feel like I understand the dynamics on how intense training effects blood sugar while taking insulin which is what gets me freaked out. So what happens is I drink insane amounts of carbs during workout and don't workout as hard.

    I always get scared if I push it real hard I'll have a huge randon drop in bs.
