Almond Breeze
just bought some Almond Breeze Almond Milk today........I am trying to kick my coffee creamer habit. this stuff is actually working well for me. Have any of you tried this? I think it taste great! the one I bought (there were several flavors etc) was unsweetened vanilla. It only has 40 calories in 8 oz 3g fat 2 g carbs 0 sugar 1g fiber 1g protein. I measured 2 oz for my "creamer" works like a charm. The cream that I am addicted to has tons of chemicals and is sugar free but has 3.5g fat in 1 serving........and 1 serving doesn't quite get it for my coffee lol

I am telling you, this stuff has saved me totally with replacing the coffee creamer!! I am trying to look OK for the summer lol so when I go back to eating a little more I can't wait to try it on cereal! and to actually make a shake with it! I use the unsweetened also but haven 't tried the chocolate.........but I will! lol

I love the organic unsweetened soy from westsoy. It has 100 calories per 8 oz, but it has 9g protein, 5g carbs with 4g of those being fiber, so really only 1 g carbs.

here's the link for values...
I always get the UNSWEETENED chocolate or vanilla. The original needs sweetner, IMO. Good to use for protein shakes instead of water.

Ok, so I'm reviving this thread.
I have a question. My 13 yr old daughter does not like milk. She will usually mix in some chocolate powder, or some vanilla carnation instant breakfast. I'd rather her not have all that crap.
She does get calcium from yogurt, veggies, & a multi.
Basically my question is- nutrion wise- is Almond Milk a suitable substitute for regular cows milk?

It seems like its low nutritional value to me. The reg unsweetened has like 3 g of fat, 2g carbs, 2g protein. It has a good bit of vitamin D and E though. I use it to mix in my protein shakes to give them some consistency. I also use coconut milk because its keto friendly. Neither is as refreshing or good as a glass of cold milk but they will do fine in a shake or bowl of cereal. I think regular old pasteurized/homogenized cows milk is garbage anyhow.
