Layne I know you advocate training with great volume and frequency. The current research shows this to be the best way (increases in protein synthesis). But have you honestly seen in your own physique increases in muscle tissue that warrant all the extra work you put in? I am fully aware you love to train and it's not a job to train. But lets say every hour training is worth money (time is money after all) has all that extra money really "bought" you a lot more muscle. Compared to lets say training 3 days per week with moderate volume?

Love the show guys keep it up!

Awesome show and my question is about training frequency. You said that the body would adapt to training a body part three times a week. My question is can you do this for every body part each week or must you focus on a specific part of the body. Also could you train this way for as long as you want or must you have a period where you taper off?

Pre and post workout nutrition what are the best meals (food examples). Slow digesting carbs and protein? Fats, carbs, and protein? Quick acting carbs? should fats or greens be involved?

Layne, I asked Packman and you this at the Tampa Pro and yall discussed it a little bit about post workout nutrition and you guys said a quick acting protein like egg whites, with no fats in the meal or greens. I asked Packman what about fish or chicken and he said too slow of protein for pw.

Shakes don't seem to fill me up. So whole food examples would be appreciated.

I'd like to know what their thoughts are on cardio using weights. They discussed windgate and cardio on a regular bike but would do they think of barbell complexes or tabata front squats for a cardio workout.

When it comes to cardio "is all cardio created equal?" Is there any one cardio exercise/machine that is best/higher rated for improving a persons Vo2 max or is it all a matter of heart rate levels?

My second question if I may is in regards to fat burning. What do the guys think of the "Fat Burning Zone" (moderate heart rate)? Is it better than HIIT to burn fat even if a person is willing to do endless moderate heart rate cardio?

I suppose the easiest way to answer this question is what cardio (if any) do you guys do to loose body fat?

    Thanks guys,

    Great show!!

With regards to the cardio issue:

What sort of metabolic enhancement are we talking about from high intensity cardio vs. low intensity? How big of a difference over the course of a day?

And what are the doctors' thoughts on negative feedback loops in the body initiated by trying to get in contest-lean condition? What can be done to offset these loops if anything?

why do my hands reek like dog shit after picking up various pulley bar attactments, dumbbells, and barbells throughout my gym? does making them my bitch have any factor from the odor emitted as i skip and prance my way out the front exit?

    ok...actually my question is..

lateral raises, sometimes im good at them, sometimes im very terrible at them. what are your methods to get big wide delts? alternative ways to get big side delts? the quest for width is never over!!!

    Hey guys,

In previous shows you both talked about training frequency and briefly dealt with the issue of different muscle fiber types. What i wanted to know, is do most humans have the same type of dominant muscle fiber type (slow twitch and fast twitch) in certain muscles (which i have read they do) and if so, should I tailor my workouts focusing more on the muscle fiber types? Eg. chest is way more dominant in fast twitch (i hope i got that right), so should i focus more on an explosive type movement for chest and not overdoing negatives? I know Laynes routine focus's on strength and muscle damage but if I had certain weak points I could make more adjustments with fiber type training to help those weak points catch up.

    Thanks fellas.

What are your thoughts in regards to over training? Do you believe its even possible to over train?
