Oh, you guys must've missed how stringent the IFBB are with their rules. I mean, just look at their anti-doping policy - THEY FOLLOW THAT TO A TEE!

The whole thing is a joke.. and is BAD for the sport of bodybuilding especially for Arnold's show for the first time in Brasil.
IFBB is making a huge mistake..

I agree with what you saying. I know rules are rules but in some cases you have to let shit slide. We all know bodybuilding is not exactly on the same level as the Olympics...so when your trying to grow a sport...or even keep a "sport" alive.. You have to let some things pass.

I would be super pissed at myself if that was me....but the important thing is if CEDRIC is being used as an example of what will NOT be tolerated, then the rule must be enforced across all the Pro Divisions. If it's not, then this DQ will have been a huge waste of time and resources and controversy.

Wow, who did Cedric piss off? He never gets any slack at all. He comes into the Arnold holding a little water and places about 4 spots lower than he should. I agree with what a lot of you have said here, a fine (especially 5K) would be more than enough. To kick him out of the contest is asinine! It hurts the sport, the fans, the contest, everyone. Especially since it wasn't his fault. He's in a foreign country, caught in traffic and no way to get a hold of anyone. I wouldn't be surprised if Cedric, one of the most genetically gifted bodybuilders to come along in years, decides to quit competing and go into something else. I wouldn't blame him at this point.

The rules are rules argument is a complete joke and idiotic, off the cuff response. Adhering to a rule simply because its a rule is a pussy excuse to not use your brain for a few seconds to consider all the surrounding facts and make a judgement call.
As its been pointed out earlier, the IFBB itself doesn't follow all of its own rules. You either have to be strict, without reason, like this when enforcing all your rules at all times or you must allow room for consideration. You can't pick and choose when a rule is strictly enforced like this when a week ago you had someone do the exact same thing."If you ever start taking things too seriously, just remember that we are talking monkeys on an organic spaceship flying through the universe." - Joe Rogan

Official word from
@ArnoldSports#ArnoldBrazil co-promoter Bob Lorimer: "Cedric McMillan will be competing in today's Arnold Classic Brazil"
So who pulled strings to help Cedric out or was this some sort of publicity stunt???

It would be nice to hear why he was late , or did I miss that somewhere???? Until I know what the "excuse" was, I don't mind the punishments ... Happens in every sport .. College football player misses curfew before a bowl game, guess what... He will prob miss that game... NFL players miss regular team meetings ... they get fined .. Some even get fired(usually repeat offenders) .. Was or is Cedric a repeat offender?? Does he usually miss things like this that are mandatory??? We don't know.. I know I show up to work late 40 mins, I prob would and should get fired ... Cedric is not being fired from bb, just a quick suspension.. You cant show up to a job interview 40 mins late and expect to get that job.. How hard is it to just go to the meeting??? No one to blame here but cedric..I understand people saying its bad for the sport and the fans ... Well im not in Brazil and didn't pay for a ticket. So him not competing doesn't offend me.. Cedric needs to look in the Mirror cause its his fault, and Maybe he needs to apologize to the fans that showed up to see him ... They did make an example out of him, Maybe they were sick of his ways and attitude ... None of us know if he does this on a regular basis.. But im sure Chris, Dave and Aaron know something .. Would be nice to have one of them tell the story because I know they know .....
