I believe that Centopani is very methodical with his financial planning.
He was signed to contracts very early on and I believe was living with his parents and also working in insurance so must have saved a bundle in the process.
So when he bought that house and fixed it up etc it just seemed it was part of a larger strategy
I think financially he is pretty comfortable right now and is focused on enjoying his family more than anything else
Hopefully Aceto will help him get his contest day right and he can be part of some very competitive Olympia lineups in these coming years

I cant say Evan is at his peak, I may be wrong but he is what 30?
and 5 yrs in the sport, he only seems to get more and more popular, even though he is in hiding. Look at his road to the olympia and arnold videos (some of my favorites on youtube)
He is making $ from MD, Universal, His home purchase could most likely be sold rigth now and earn profit, he timed it well I believe and the remodle will usually net a gain. contest winnings are a drop in the hat.
I believe he exemplifies that you should NOT get into bodybuilding for the $.
If the $ was gone I am pretty sure you would still see Evan be huge but I believe one of his Road To videos he addressed the topic that it is a hobby for him and that if he needed a typical job he wouldnt compete most likely.
Rock on Evan!Live Free, Train Hard

I didn't mean a baby so far as a bodybuilding career goes. Centopani seems level headed and I suspect he has a plan beyond the sport. Many men start over from scratch after age 40 which isn't that old... when you're older.
And I'm sure there are variables we're all unaware of so far as Centopani's motivations, goals, etc. It might seem the obvious path to just bang out contest after contest and earn as much prize money as possible from the outside looking in. I wonder what Ronnie Rockel would have to say about that. Or, using the wayback machine, someone like Momo.

Someone needs to sit him down and have a talk about his clothes. No self respecting grown man wears cargo pants...get it together Evan sheeesh.

I don't think you processed the post...at all. This has nothing to do with his physique, Evan is great and has been one or my favorite competitors.
"The Shadow" - Yeah because he showed up from overseas and won the OLYMPIA... not some shitty lowest tier show in a town that only has 125,000 people, hence it got canned to begin with.
That sounds more like BIG RAMY to me than some dude in Connecticut
Side note, Does anyone think Evan will ever win an Olympia?
Dave used to say it all the time, but he's been much more hesitant as of late.
I am assuming he will win and qualify for the O this year, and I see him moving up a few spots, maybe even taking Dexter's spot in the Top-5, a big win would be placing above Wolf again as well as reestablishing himself in the upper echelons of bodybuilding
As far as winning though I think he has the potential at some point (heck he's made top-10 already), but people are making it sound like he's choosing not too just because his life is so great since he pays a mortgage? I don't think that means he can't have an innate competitive drive to be the best possible at his craft. I also seriously doubt anyone that's worked that hard to get to this point in his career would be like 'Eh I just don't feel like winning the Olympia, I'm content' especially if the other facets of his life are fully functioning like Evan prides himself on (hence I understand his dad having Cancer and him not doing the Arnold, Family First, and Evan has said this on the MD forums many times)

Until you have a basic handle on the Socratic Method you too should stfu. I'm clearly debating for the simple enjoyment of gentlemanly discussion as I have no vested interest in Evan whatsoever. I, like anyone else in this thread, am a great supporter of Evan, and wish him nothing but success living life on his own terms.
My entire argument has been the reasons stated for his lack of competing. If Evan stated he doesn't like competing and only wished to do so once or twice a year so he can enjoy life, family, etc. I would have never entered this thread. To act like competing 4 times a year would force him to neglect his family is ludicrous. Look at how many shows are a week apart i.e. Olympia, Sheru Classic. Four weekends out of the year for the potential to double or more your yearly earnings? Anyone can reason that logic. Child please.
