Having John and Chris here with me was really a big boon. But some people you didn't get a chance to actually see or hear from really made the weekend go exceptionally smooth. Gail Auerbach did all the video work you see - so the stage shots of video, the interviews, etc... she made it all happen and bent over backwards, sat in crazy positions and followed me around to get all the great video you saw.
Danielle Delikat did tagging for the pictures (Gail also helped with that) and got them into the threads as the play by play was going on so you all could see what was going on.
It was a great team effort and, for my part, I was really happy to be a part of it and contribute the best that I could. Chris and John really were awesome to sit in the PIT with and do the analysis... It was cool I would say something and Chris would say (at times) "I was just going to say that" ... which, really shocked me. But the three of us were pretty much on the same wavelength the entire show... I like both of them and they are really good at what they do.

I can't forget Mel and Colleen either. Colleen was back at the Species booth running shit there and Mel was handling everything from a PR perspective making sure that everything was taken care of for us. I have never been at a show where it was more smooth for me to do this sort of thing in my life. I felt like I could go anywhere (access wise) and get what I needed in terms of interviews or footage. Tim Gardner was exceptionally cool about everything.
LOL... funny thing was, even though I knew i could go anywhere...I still felt like, and probably acted like... very tentative walking around ... like the ice was going to break any second... but it didn't.

Congrats Roelly. Finally got it right by not dropping too much weight. Essa also looked amazing. Not sure how Wilmore placed in the top 5, though.

Talked with Lou about this a couple times last night - traditionally for the women, judging is soooo regional, so we'll totally have to see what happens at the O. And even then, there's probably no guarantee that whatever happens there will predict what happens next year, say .. maybe at the Arnold, or anywhere else for that matter. It would be nice to settle into at least a consistent message. One could say already this category is running through the same evolution as FBB and easily the first 5 years of Figure. Is it trending from the 'starting from scratch" (i.e. anyone's game) to a little tighter, to RIPT? If you recall, RIPT rebounded back to SAF (soft as fucK) and has been hovering back & forth by region since then. And while we're at it, the Pro Figure girls are currently a bit beefier & tight these days, tho not as RIPT as they were circa 2005. All those things that precipitated into a rebound in decision-making in the other direction because it is "too extreme" ... it would be nice if these things are caught now so we don't need to go thru that again and just focus on perfecting "the look".
And given that we are now just a couple weeks out from the big national shows this summer, we can get our popcorn now and get comfy for the plot to unfold!
BTW... still think Beni's avi is the best look

I said it before, WPD is already out of control. Perhaps the judges are going with the dryer look to further distinguish it from Figure. But yet still getting very close to the level of conditioning required in bodybuilding. The girls are just smaller. Certainly not less striated, particularly in the glute area. God bless you if you can striate those bad boys, but the rules clearly state no striations.

Aceto so glad you noticed that about Monique. I had hoped she didn't feel like I was picking on her when I reached out and made a point about her posing and stage presence. With a body like that she should be owning the stage and she doesn't. Her facial expressions suggest she lacks confidence and not having any fun.
Same goes for ya boy Shawn Rhoden.Last edited by Carolyn Bryant; 07-07-2013 at 12:02 PM.
