    Default Cardio

    Okay, so I've been reading and hearing a lot of different things about cardio.

    I always thought that it mattered which machine you utilize for conditioning of the legs and glutes. Then I hear that it doesn't matter which machine you use, just do cardio.

    My question is does it really matter if I use the bike, or step mill or row machine etc. I am doing 60 min first thing in morning on an empty stomach.

    i think the stair climber is best overall but eliptical is a close second. the body is too sedentary if on the bike in my opinion. I feel the best workouts are with the stair climber or eliptical

    i only do bike on legs days for my cardio portion..

    Okay, I wasn't sure if the eliptical was an option only because it's low impact to no impact. I usually do it on a high setting of 10-14 and feel a great burn. I just wasn't sure if it really mattered as long as I was doing the cardio.

    I think everyone agrees "conditioning" seems to come best from the stepmill. I tend to stick w/ treadmill just because its mindless and I do shitload of SS cardio right now. I find I need to switch it up, prob to stepmill because I need the variety in ROM. I"m finding my hamstrings to get really tight from just walking. I do some walking lunges but it just doesn't do the same.

    I think you'll get the most from Stepmill because of the ROM and effort, but there's also something to be said for variety and sometimes its just good enough to be moving and burning fat.

    Step mill is my absolute favorite... I'm sweating within minutes and I just feel I'm going the most out of it. When the machines are in use or unless I'm having a lazy day, then I'll use the elliptical... but I always put it on 20 incline and switch up my resistance throughout the workout between 9-20. I haven't done the treadmill for months and I'll be happy if I don't go near it again for another several months... I'm not a runner, so I'd just jack up the incline and walk when I do/have used it... I'd rather step mill it in that case.
