What is Women's Physique?
What is Women's Physique?
I have set out to answer the burning questions that many WPD competitors are asking/joking about, "What is Women's Physique?" and "What are the Judges looking for anyways?!"

"WPD is not only a platform to accommodate women who just didn't fit elsewhere, but a place to display personality!" <---I love this! I was so excited when the NPC introduced the division and as time goes on, we're seeing it really take shape and evolve. I for one, am VERY excited at the direction the division is going, especially the ladies who are being rewarded at the PRO level.

I was competing at Nationals in 2010, in Figure. I remember Dylan Armbrust walking up to me and asking me if I heard about the new division that will be coming out next year. I said, No! What? He said, Physique. The look will be between Bodybuilding and Figure. I totally screamed! LOL I had been going back and forth between figure in 2007, Bodybuilding 2008 and 2009 and then back to figure in 2010. When I won my pro card in 2011, Jim Rockell was the head judge at my show. He walked up to me in Hard Rock after the show and said, "This division was made for you." I was so stoked!!!
Great article Gail!
