Ed Van Amsterdam has died of a heart attack at age 40. He left a wife & children behind. Rest in peace Ed.

Holy crap that sucks I remember him from the 05'07 era he semmed like a nice guy . What a sad situation for his family . RIP BIG MAN !!!

I remember he used to do this invisible basketball routine on stage that was pretty good.

i dont understand why some of theese guys feel the need to risk health to be this big at 40 - 50 yearsold all there getting is a plastic trophy apparently he was warned about his health and they told him to stop bbing but he didnt listen

RIP.
I met him at FIBO 2012 I think, and he was very open and friendly guy and we talked with him a bit about this and that. I am not sure if he mentioned he had some problems with his heart back then too... I think he told us that that is why he retired. So sad. Didn't know much about Ed until that spread in Muscle Mag. RIP Ed, sending well wishes to his wife and kids.

Damn. Ed was really cool when I met him at FIBO 2012 and did a short interview with him for RX.
RIP.
