Fitness The Mary Way: Mary Stockbridge's Journal
Fitness The Mary Way: Fitness Matters! Journal 1
Don't go another day saying the gym can wait until tomorrow. Don't tell yourself that you get the wide hips from your mom's side of the family. If you are a mom with 2 or 3 or even 4 kids, don't say there is just not enough time in the day to make yourself a priority. I don't want you to put it off another minute.

Fitness The Mary Way: A Two Timing Adoption Story-Journal 2
My college cheerleading squad affectionately called us “The Twinkies.” Asian looking on the outside, with Caucasian (Norwegian, English and Irish) influences on the inside, the nickname was fitting for adopted twin sisters a little out of place in the cornfields of Lincoln, Nebraska.

Power to the Protein Powder
DSC04364.jpg I love this protein powder! Metabolic Nutrition's Protizyme. It tastes as good as the pictures on the canisters. A favorite recipe that I love to make, Vanilla Protein Pancakes:
1 heaping scoop of protein powder of your choice
4 egg whites
1/2 c. of dry oats or oatmeal or
4 oz. cooked yam
I like to blend all the ingredients together in my magic bullet, but you can mix until you get a nice even consistency. Pour batter into a fry pan that has been sprayed with some Pam. Cook your pancakes on both sides. Take off the heat and put on a plate. Sprinkle with cinnamon, top with sugar free syrup if desired and enjoy. You will never have to eat regular pancakes again.
What are your favorite protein recipes? Share yours with me and I'll make it and take a picture and upload here

Fitness The Mary Stockbridge Way: Finding My Seoul Mate: Journal 3
My husband Max and I have been pretty much inseparable since meeting in 2001. We were both selected by the Korean consulates of our home states to participate on the same Homeland tour of Korea, the country we were both adopted from

Fitness the Mary Stockbridge Way: Overcoming Setbacks
If you compete or have ever competed in fitness, sports, weight training, or any physical activity, you have probably had your share of setbacks. The same goes for me. Most recently, I reinjured my left ankle.Fitness the Mary Stockbridge Way: Overcoming Setbacks

Fitness The Mary Stockbridge Way: Why I Love the IFBB
Fitness The Mary Stockbridge Way: Why I Love the IFBB
After earning my pro card at the 2013 NPC Junior USA Championships, I had the privilege of being interviewed by Fitness Pro Michelle Blank. She introduced herself, but of course, I already knew who she was.

Fitness The Mary Stockbridge Way:
Fitness The Mary Stockbridge Way:My Four-Legged Work Out PartnerMy life forever changed the day that I saw my first Boston Terrier. It was 2002 and Max was in college in Lakeland, Florida, and he and I were going grocery shopping. After parking and on our way into the local Publix, we were chatting about nothing in particular, when both of us stopped dead in our tracks. We both just stared. A grinning and panting, engaging yet peculiar, friendly looking dog was leaning out the window of one of the parked cars.

Fitness The Mary Stockbridge Way: Finding Myself through Competition
Fitness The Mary Stockbridge Way: Finding Myself through CompetitionIf you are like me, you are inspired by all the beautiful, athletic and supremely conditioned fitness athletes gracing the competitive stage. I am in my seventh year of dieting and training for competitions but it took me over ten years to actually take the plunge and start a fitness journey. Do not be like me and wait for that someday. I have learned and am still learning so much about myself. This really is a journey into oneself and the more I keep doing it, the more I keep growing from the inside out.

Fitness The Mary Stockbridge Way: A Hitch in My Giddy-Up
When I was younger, I loved gymnastics. My heart loved it but my knees never did. They have always been weak. Even when I was eight, my doctor told me not to practice for a month to see if my knee pain would get better. The only thing my coach would let me do was bounce on the trampoline while everyone else got to run screaming down the vault runway, springing onto the board and propelling their bodies through the air.
