I dunno man? Probably much like yourself I've been a longtime listener of 'powerful' Joe and the more I listen to him the more it seems (to me) that he actually believes that all of the woes of the world could be solved by the ingestion of DMT, 'shrooms or weed? Lol. (Again) to me it seems like an 'easy out' by someone who's on a sweet deal. His life is hardly reality for the overwhelming majority is it? Doing his stand up act anywhere on the planet supplemented by his UFC gig affords him a different reality and clouds his perception of reality.

Hmmm, guess we'll just have to disagree. I don't get that same impression at all but that's just our own difference in opinions.
He's definitely an advocate that those things have their benefits that many people are unaware of or choose to ignore and only demonize. But he doesn't push it on people and has said many times they aren't for everyone and everyone shouldn't use them. In the end he's just a comic and not an expert and these are just his thoughts which is what he constantly reminds listeners of. Is his life normal? No, but I still relate to a lot of the thoughts he has. I think his perception of reality is very well grounded.
