Amount of protein to grow
In your experience, did you see that an excess amount of protein (1.5+ grams per lb) is better for growth, or something between the 1-1.5 lbs of bodyweight (if you are at a reasonable fat%) is more than enough, and the rest is up to total calories?

I think when bulking, you don't need more than 1g of protein per lb(unless your enhanced), if your cutting 1.5-1.8g is wat I'd go with.

Year round i shoot for 1.5-close to 2g per lb...everyone is different. Some people respond better on just 1g. Lee haney never used more than 1g per lb of bodywieght, so if your a genetic freak more isnt necessary.

Muscle is mainly water not protein. You should be concentrating more on your carbs than protein 60% Crabs 25% Protein 15% Fats of your calorific intake which should be about 500 above maintenance if that. Optimal Nutrition is key !

Read a study that said .65 grams per pound of bodyweight for weight training. I would like to try .75 protein and .75 carbs per pound of bodyweight. It is approximately 39%c 39%p 22%f

Everyone's different but generally 1 gram per pound of body weight is what people go by. Always make sure to drink plenty of water too.

Depends on the other macro nutrients in play. If you are eating a good amount of carbs then that is going to spare amino acids any how so 1g per lb is probably enough. Enhanced folks typically need more as well. Depends on the situation though and it would be wise to base things of of estimated LBM versus weight unless you are very lean.

If your not juicing you don't even need 1 gram of protein per pound of lean body weight. Most guys are over-estimating their needs based on their current weight and not actual lean body weight (not to mention BS supplement company claims aimed at increasing sales, not your muscle mass) 0.5-1 gram per pound body weight is plenty for a natty.

I can't give you a number but I definitely believe that it's less than most people think.
