Lower back
How many of you guys have a really small waist and you feel that is making your lower back weaker? I remember Flex talking about it awhile ago and i was like damn i think he might be right. I am not tall at all 5'6 195 and my waist is around 29-30 inches and i get the worst lower back pumps EVER sometimes and just overall dont feel my lower back is as strong as it should be. I do exercises for it Hypers, Good Mornings sometimes, and DL (not heavy). WHat do you guys think?

I don't think that's the case with me. My waist was 29,5 last time I competed and I'm 6'6".
What I learned over the years is to ditch the belt. I never use it anymore, not even for DL. The only time I use it is if I go at or above 405 on squat. Also I work my abs 4 times a week. Not to build them up, but to keep them strong and keep the entire torso tight. I used to have a lot of back pain due to my height and once I really started to hit the abs, it went away as the front got stronger, the back did not have to work as hard to support the entire upper body.

I will admit i use a belt lol. My girl got me a custom belt from Cardillo and i love it! I do need to get back to a consistent ab routine the last few months ive been slacking lol. DAMN MOFO 6'6 and a 29 inch waist, that means i need to get mine to be like 24-25 lol. I bet if i was in contest shape it would def be a few inches less.
