Lisa: Back in the Game and still Growing
So I have not journaled since 2011...my last update was my pregnancy journal:
http://forums.rxmuscle.com/showthrea...nal&highlight=
My life has been a bit of a cyclone since then, but by a miracle I was able to get back into the gym. My son was born in September, I was back in the gym by March, and in a bikini again by June.
I took winter of 2012 to build back muscle, and I was back to where I was pre-pregnancy by this summer. I went back to my old routines, and reach out to my old coach for some diet guidance.
The thought of competing again is allways creeping back into my mind...but I do have a challenging situation at home so taking the stage has been low on the priority list. Things have finally started to balance it's self out again so I'll be deciding wether or not to compete in 2014 over the next couple of months.
I look forward to sharing this new journey with you!!

Gotta love a Monday off from work! Feels good to not have to wake up at 4:30am to get to the gym. By some miracle I actually got to sleep in until 9am! It was cloudy and rainy so little man stood snuggled in his bed

Tuesday 9/3
While I had every intention of getting my cardio done this morning, I slept like sh*t last night so today will have to end up being an off day for me. Running a full day on 4 hours of sleep just wasn't happening so I stood in bed for the extra hour.
Days like today is one of the factors that really keeps me on the fence about competing. If I miss a morning in the gym, then that's it...I miss the day or I have to shorten or cut another workout to make up for it.
I go to the gym in the morning before work and my husband goes at night. So he drops baby off at my mom's on his way to work to give me the time I need and I pick baby up after work, take care of dinner etc... so he can have the time to go to the gym after work. We try to take 1-2 days a week and we both go to the gym in the morning. My daughter keeps an ear for the baby in case he wakes up, but I usually get home and he's still sleeping. These days are no-gym at night days b/c we try to take advantage and all be home at the same time and get some family time in. Once in a while one of us may also have to these nights to work late or take care of after work appointment.

Should've got some ab work in but I was moving really slow this morning and ran out of time. I left gym 10min late and threw off the rest of my morning. I had to drop little man off this morning so I was rushing like crazy. The Back-to-School morning traffic also slowed me down. I barely made it to work with 5min to spare....coffee time
