You look fantastic! In training for my first competition I'm learning it truly is a lifestyle change. It is very hard at times to manage work, family, and other daily obligations! Balance is the key. Only you will know when it is right for you to hit the stage again.

These past two years since my son was born has truly been a time of lessons in all areas of life. It was very hard for me to even step foot back into the gym...I was dealing with a lot of stuff. But once I did I finally started to feel like "me" again.
I live the lifestyle of a figure athlete, so might as well just go for it. That's my thinking right now...but again I do need to figure a few things out before making an all out commitment. The financial aspects being a major factor.
Wishing you the best of luck on your first show!!Last edited by LisaRD23; 09-08-2013 at 03:20 PM.

So yesterday was a lost day...I went home Monday afterwork with the biggest stomach ache. it was so bad that my belly was actually protruding. I looked 4months pregnant. Needless to say but I hardly got any sleep. I called out of work Tuesday morning b/c I still wasn't feeling well. I wasn't able to see my doc untill about 1pm...and of course by that time I was feeling better and my stomach was back to normal size. A little bloated and tender, but I didn't look like I has an alien in my belly.
Diagnosis? Good question...no idea what the problem was. Every question my doctor had with regard to my food intake, what I ate in the past 24hrs, etc... gave no information.I have to make an appointment to see a gastrologist as a follow up. Ugh...
I keept my food intake very light yesterday, drank my water and lots of ginger tea. By night time I was 80% back to normal, as of this morning feeling good. HUNGRY like crazy, but overall ok. I was able to dragg my ass out of bed this morning make it into to the gym too. Well on to this morning's workout:

Thurs. 9/12
Just cardio today...I decided to switch things up a bit and I took the cycle class at the gym this morning. It was about 50min long. Not too bad, my plan was for 45min of cardio.
I didn't follow the instructor exactly....yes I don't follow instruction well... I threw in more sprints while she wanted to up the bike resistance to hills, and I was standing in position 2 and 3 when she wanted to sit..... Overall it was a good workout

Looking forward to getting some rest this weekend. I have to get to the gym ealry tomorrow though so I won't get to get the extra sleep until Sunday. But...the flip side is if I get my workout done early, I'm home early and I have the entire day to take care of things and to try to relax a bit in between. I've already announced that I WILL NOT be cooking this weekend, so we will order in something yummy for Saturday night cheat

Great minds think alike! Being the control freak that I am I can't stand someone else telling me what to do with my workouts. Especially when it comes to cardio! I took a spin class once a few years ago. Never again.2016 RX Member of the Year & March 2015 Member of the Month
