Don't post here often, but would like a critique at 5 weeks out
I'm 26 and in the pics above I am 5 weeks out from the NPC Blue Ridge Mountain Classic. I will be doing the novice under 176 and the open middleweight. I know I need more overall size for how tall I am.Last year I did a npc contest and got 6th out of 11 in the novice middleweight. I was 165.5lbs there. This year I am looking to be about 10 lbs heavier - just making the cut off for middleweight. My goal is to make top 5 this year so I can at least get a trophy lol

Well stated the obvious that u need overall size because of your height. Can't do nothing about size at 5 weeks out, so concentrate on conditioning. You look like u are on point with your diet so keep at it and crack that top 5.

Thank you for the reply. After this contest I will be in off season mode trying to make a move to light heavyweight.
I know I need more size, but I am glad you say I look on track to be in shape.
I think as long as my classes aren't too deep, and I show up in shape ; that I can make a top 5.

I took 2nd in novice under 176 and 3rd in mens open middleweight. I was told by a few judges I had the best condition in the whole show, a few judges had my 1st. My legs are what held me back . I am in the blue trunks 2013blueridge1.jpg2013blueridge16.jpg2013blueridge5.jpg

Congratulations. You definitely look like you belong up there. Have seen many contests where it looks like a contestant just wandered in off the street. No business being anywhere near a competition.
Well done. What's your next step? Another show soon or back to working on your legs (which you stated the judges mentioned in their feedback)?Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | Join Rx Muscle on Facebook!

Thank you very much. My next step is to take some time off to work on my legs. From there I will check the 2014 show listings and pic a few to do. I am deff going to do the NPC Jason Arntz Muscle Beach (that was the first show I ever did) and I might just go back to Virginia for next years Blue Ridge Classic.
