Strength Talk Presents Strength Talk on the ROAD ~ October 12th & 13th
Being healthy & fit does not comprise of doing just one thing right, it is multi-faceted, which is why we have joined forces with some of the best athletes, trainers and educators in the industry to develop a new and exciting 3 day workshop, which includes Strength and Conditioning, Mobility and Rehab, Strongman, Powerlifting, Crossfit, Nutrition and Sports Specific Training. Our Strength Team is comprised of Shawna Mendelson, Scot Mendelson, Donnie Thompson, Jill Mills, Dave Hoff and Lenny Pace, covering it all and offering people a “one stop shop” with their strength, nutrition & health goals! There are a lot of workshops and seminars out there today, so how is our workshop different than others’? Most programs and workshops tend to teach people in a short amount of time how to perform exercises and that is about all. This workshop will take you beyond “just exercising” and teach you the proper way to become stronger and faster with mobility and rehab techniques most people have no idea even exist. Coaches and trainers tend to tell their athletes exercise will improve their function and performance. Although there is some truth to this, we will actually teach you how the body moves and functions, as well as the rehab necessary to stay healthy and injury free. It is NOT just about the exercises!
Our workshop has been developed to bridge the gap between everyday training, Powerlifting, Strongman, Sports Specific Training, and Crossfit. This workshop will teach you what proper strength training really is! Jam packed with 6 hours each day (2 days total) we will focus on functional movements, patterns of lifting (including proper technique and form), mobility, rehab, and nutrition. We will also educate you on barbell strength, speed, dynamic training, strongman and different philosophies, enabling you to improve and implement, bringing you to the “next level” in your own training program.
We wanted to take it a step further, to benefit YOU even more. Our workshop has been approved through NASM, NSCA, ACE and CSCS. We are approved continuing Educators! If you are a Certified Trainer through NASM, ACE, NSCA, or CSCS, you will gain CEU Credit's towards your certification! You will also receive a certificate of completion at the end, a course ID# that can be submitted into NSAM for 0.6 CEU Credits, NSCA 0.7 CEU Credits, CSCS 0.7. and ACE 0.7 CEU Credits.
Bottom line, we will give you the POWER to think differently and learn to appreciate how important the basic movements of the body can be. From novice to sport specific to amateur to elite, any person at any level will benefit from our workshop.
