    2) eating specific foods: no longer necessary. (Iifym)
    3) eating at all!: not necessary. (Apparently you can now get huge while fasting. Who knew!?)
    4) doing lots of cardio: this is the devil himself! you can now get the same results with 17 seconds of HIIT cardio every 5 the day and thus avoid that ubiquitous METABOLIC DAMAGE!

    is it a coincidence that:

    A) It's all the difficult shit that has to go?

    B) There isn't one TOP bodybuilder who has abandoned their draconian ways in favor of these " new and improved" tenets ?

    C) The lineups at every major show I attended this year had way higher numbers and way lower quality?

    Anyone? Anyone?
    Great post!

I could care less about how somebody achieves their look...pop tarts? awesome. Sweet potatoes? great. I fall in the middle on the debate. I don't think that there's such a thing as "magic" clean food, but I do think that certain micronutrient dense foods should comprise the bulk of ones diet. If you can get away with "unconventional" food choices that fit your macro nutrient and overall caloric goals then more power to you. What pisses me off is how SOME of the "iifym" crowd talk to those of us who legitimately ENJOY eating old school "bro foods" 6x per day like we're idiots or something.
X2...if one can consume 500g sweet potato daily without and GI or other issues, why change it? If they cant, then switch food sources ...hell, I have 6 pop tarts every refeed. Why?because it works for me and I can get the carbs in easily...do I eat them daily? No, I use a vast variety of food groups (bananas, potatoes, eggs, egg whites, shakes, need, etc etc)

Everyone is just do different- some CAN get away with more junk, incorporate 1-2 free meals 4 wks out from stage, etc.

Even with cardio- "BC" never does any and is always lean....if I stop cardio completely, I turn into marshmallow man...will it help get u leaner quicker? Sure, it can..but it's not always needed for everyone.

If Dave stepped sideways suddenly, he'd squash that kid like a bug. That should end the debate. LOL

I hear ya, Jordan. I will tell you, though, that I'm tired of seeing skinny guys on YouTube sounding like they invented bodybuilding & acting like they know everything there is to know about it.
