Initial thoughts?
1. They got the top 5 right.
2. It was closer this year between Dex and Shawn.
3. They should pull out the top 3 and compare them in all combinations, 2 at a time.
4. I don't have a problem with Phil winning, but would like to have seen him and Kai, Kai and Dennis and Dennis and Phil go through the mandatories and 1/4 turns.

Story of the show IMO was Wolf coming in at his all time best and snagging that top 3 spot... Jay in 6th and Ramy in 8th was waaayyy off from what was expected... but the top 5 all looked great... and It pretty much went as everyone thought it should... Although, many could make a case for Dennis getting 2nd... Congrats to Phil on number 3

I thought Branch was way too high in 9th. Lionel should have been 9th and I could have seen Victor or even Cedric ahead of Branch.

I think Victor, Essa and Cedric were better than Jay and Branch. I would have had them 12th and 13th respectively.
Roelly and Ramy should have been 6th and 7th in either order.Last edited by beefyfan; 09-29-2013 at 02:07 AM.

Ramy looked better on Saturday and I can see the potential he has. It might be as Dave said, he was too flat and didn't have the size he had at the NY Pro. Jay also looked much better on Saturday so I could see him looking a lot better next year if he decides to come back.

looks like Jay is not going to retire... I bet he knows he would have won if he had more time to train... is it true he had only 10 weeks to get ready for this show? He was in good condition, but he needs the size back

I'm not sure, it looks like his time is over, ever big Jay won't be a mass monster anymore.

It's crazy to see Vic so far back on the pack when he was once right in the mix at the top...

If jay gets serious, starts offseason tomorrow And puts in the work for next year I think he can snag a top 5 spot. He was given a gift last night. Not saying he looked bad , but not the jay I wanna see.

Per Dave & Chris, Jay was operating on 2 years off and 10 weeks of training, so I guess relatively speaking, he showed up pretty decent. But I agree - there was definitely consideration given to past showings despite current physique.
All in all, I thought it was a great show and a great weekend! And best of all, no one showed up looking 8 months prego. That was probably the single biggest red flag to the potential downward spiral of the sport. Glad that got waylaid.

That's all Jay trained, 10 weeks?
Could have SWORE I saw the first video of his Olympia prep where Larry woke Jay up and told him it's time to get up and do cardio, you're 16 weeks out.Last edited by JG1; 09-29-2013 at 01:19 PM.
