All checked in, in the nick of time for my next competition in Pittsburgh. I'm competing in the 2014 NPC Teen, Collegiate and Masters National Championships. I'm finally relaxing, eating my last meal of the day and enjoying the awesome view from my window. I'm right where the rivers meet. Looking down on the paddle boats as a train runs right by them. I can also see a soccer game going on near by. The city is all lite up. So pretty. I really like this town. Lots to do here.

Thanks Sunnyday and Swingslammer!
I always liked Pittsburgh. The moment I first saw it last year I knew something was going to be special about this place. I guess I'll eventually find out what it is.

Thanks Sunny and Anderson!
I'm just thrilled I actually placed. But after looking at the pictures...I have a better appreciation of what I look like, stage presents wise. I'll be working on that this year a lot more. I wanted to be a Pro. I have to present myself as one all the time. Even when I'm dead tired. And after those last 2 weeks. Especially the one of the show...I was mentally and physically exhausted. I was stressed out because a few things were going on and I started holding water under the skin. I lost a lot of my definition. So I was seriously working out every day up until I left for Pittsburgh. Thats the time when most people are doing their short little circuit training and no cardio. Chilling with their feet up the day before. Not me. I had to try and sweat it out. The evening before I was practicing my posing till I sweat buckets just to get the water out. Posing was a challenge because I was so tired and sore. I slept in full sweats with the air off under a quilt. lol! Had a few shots of wine to help and one last resort of Expel. I could feel myself drying out over night. It was not pleasant but it worked well enough. I got some of my definition back. I don't want to do that again!

Well....after reading about that, I can't help but to say Goddamn, that's what you call true commitment and definitely worthy getting respect from any pro.
But glad to hear you were able to learn from that experience and try other strategies.
So was this your last contest for the year 2014 ????Last edited by Andersen; 07-23-2014 at 06:08 PM.

Thank you for that Anderson. That means more to me then a Pro card.
I always planned on doing one more competition. I thought it would be a Pro show. Thats what I've been gearing up for this whole time. Not a state show or National show. I want to look like a Pro when I get on that stage with the Pros. But since I didn't get the Pro card this time, I'm going to try again at the North Americans in 5 weeks. It may be my last shot for this season.

The training and the cardio part always go well. Its the dang diet I need to stay as focused on. Working on a new routine with my gf for this one and tweaking my posing. I'm finding lately I'm not as positive thinking about this one as I was for the last 2. Need to change that. But sometimes that happens till I get closer. I think its time I print out some pictures and tape them around my home for motivation. Cause the trophy in the food cabinet is not working. lol! I'm so used to seeing her there now its like....just move her aside so I can get to the peanut butter.

So, I’m standing in line at Dulles airport today with my family and a security guard comes up to me and says, “Ma’am, can I talk to you?” and motions for me to follow him out of line. I’m thinking, uh oh, do I looks suspicious? Am I going to get searched? So I walk up to him and he says, “How much do you work out … because I work out like 2 times a day and I’m not getting any bigger…” I must have had a look on my face cause as he’s asking about how much I lift he throws in …”Oh, you’re not in trouble or anything…. Now what about diet. I eat 8oz of protein 5 times a day….” Lol!
