Donna Mc's training journal.
I finally got my profile fixed so I can start posting in my journal. Yay!
Extra long day at the gym this morning. Sunday usually is, but this time I stayed to support a few of the girls about to compete. So, after my training session of back and chest I did cardio with one girl for an hour on the stepper. She is doing 2 hrs at this point. At least she is done for today and she can relax a little. Then another girl came in and I worked abs with her before her leg workout. Thats when I bowed out. lol!
I had a great back and chest workout. Really concentrated on the mind muscle connection. Could really feel it by the end of each set. Wore my straps right away to help my forearms from getting cramped up. They always do. This time not so much.

I usually do abs and cardio on Mondays but I worked my abs yesterday. I did get out early with a friend, who is about to compete, for a nice long walk with the pups. So today is a day for getting things done on my to do list starting with cooking up a huge batch of chicken for the week.
My meal plan just changed again. I'm in my bulking phase. Its really screwing with my head. It was very hard to see my striations fade. But I know I need to put on some more size this winter. The last meal plan had me packing on the Lbs too fast so we cut it back a little to see if I can maintain my weight and still have enough protein, carbs and good fats to keep me growing muscle, not fat.
I lift heavy all the time. With the help of my trainer I'm lifting weights I never thought I'd be able to lift before. I love being able to break my own records.
This winter I am concentrating more on my upper body. So with every body part I work, I also do back or lats. My legs have always been my best feature so this time around I haven't been killing them like I did last year. I'm just moderately bludgeoning them. lol! Still able to walk away, but like Frankenstein.

OK. Thanks. I'll try not to rant too much. But I usually have a good time at my gym so I'm sure there won't be.

I knew I had seen your pic before but I couldn't remember where - on your trainer's website. I'm familiar with him. One of his clients earned her IFPA pro card in figure at my last show.
