Aw, thanks. And your right modeling wasn't, and I'm still trying to get comfortable with it. I've been forcing myself to do more. I have to get better stage presence. It's one of the things holding me back in competition. I'm pushing myself in all different directions just to see where I land. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. lol!

Everyone needs a main goal and smaller goals along the way to help keep you going. My newest motivation was going to the Olympia just to watch the big guys and walk around the exp. I've never been before or to Las Vegas. So of course I want to lean out a little, after eating like a regular person for the last several weeks. Want to look like I belong there, somewhat.( I am supposed to be in off season) Just found out I'll be doing another shoot out there as well so now I have even more motivation to get it done. After slacking off a little on my cardio and training. ( I never totally do without). I'm back up on my stairmill and concentrating on my workouts even more. I only have 2 1/2 weeks for this to be ready so time to turn it up a notch. I won't get shredded for this but I'd like to have some detail. If I get too lean it may effect my gains for next seasons competitions and I don't want to mess with that.

    Hey there Donna.

So whenever you take a break from intense training, do you increase the number of minutes for example when you do cardio the first day back into it, then tapper off .... or do you just pick up as you were with the exact same routine??

Have fun in Vegas, lots of eye-opening stuff there, and temptations, especially food wise.

I usually start lower and slower and work my way up again. If you keep doing the same cardio all the time your body gets used to it and it will take more to get your body to the same level it was last time. During off season we taper down and eventually stop for a bit. Then work your way up again when it comes time to lean out.

Someone asked me how I get my motivation level to a 10. Its been fluctuating a lot. I have high hopes and work hard. And sometimes I don't see what I'm working for coming through. But, when I see it just around the corner, and I know its going to take some more hard work, but its still do-able and will happen...That motivation level shoots way up. Right now it just sky rocketed. Going to see the Olympia in a few weeks has now turned into a photo shoot opportunity. Just been told I'm wearing a cool ass outfit...in the dessert next an abandoned airplane. How cool is that! Motivation super high now. Don't think they have a number for it. lol! But, it will be a lot of work I have to do fast. So, you ride that wave and keep feeding yourself that good positive energy to get you through. Thats how I do it.

Fun article written by my trainer, David Johnston. What type are you? [email protected] my screwed up face in this article. Too bad you can't see me getting up after shaking my head cause I'm seeing stars from concentrating so hard. Lol! It was fun trying to guess who the other girls were that fit these descriptions. There are so many female Team Warrior Within now. Love to see just as many women doing this as there are men in our gym. http://teamwarriorwithin.com/symphony-of-construction/
