How important is Hair vs bald look?
I'm competing in my first show in a couple of week MMP. I currently shave my head but in looking at contest photos not many competitor in physique go bald. It appears to be much more prevalent in BB. If I go at it bald am I at a disadvantage? I'll compete in the masters and novice is bald head generally more accepted in masters over other divisions?
Thanks in advance.

Its not important at all. The majority of BB's that are shaved bald IMHO is due to the use of pharmcy products and whicha side is hair loss.

The question is about the appearance for mpd, not bb, and why does the reason for balding matter?

To answer the question from what I have seen a hairstyle would be beneficial rather than the hard ass look of a shaved head.

If you have the right facial complexion and body it shouldn't matter much, most of the black competitors it seems are bald or have a very low fade, people like Jason Stratham and David Beckham, Dwayne Johnson, GSP, etc.

Thanks for the responses. Looks like I'm going to compete in BB, I just don't have that "model" look!

75% of women who compete and are judged on hair have hair extensions put in. It would seem that hair extensions are actually better than real hair???

from a hairdresser stand point: if you have a well shaped head: no lumps, bumps, and a balanced face: not a huge nose, chin etc. you can carry it. if your ugly, hair or no hair wont fix it..
