Sounds like a cool and useful item to have. Nike has something similar out too:

I don't own or know anyone who has used one though unfortunately... I'm interested to hear feedback too.

I am considering one for wife….problem is she is NOT a techie. It would be me who read it, reset it every day and tracked it on the laptop. Could be one of those cool toys that ends up in the drawer.

several of my coworkers have the Up band and liked it and this looks similar-I got the fitbit one before the flex came out and I like it-easy to use-the app on my phone is totally easy-peasy…my guess is that it would be a good one

Very similar to a BodyBugg , that tracks kcals, steps etc.. They are not 100% Accurate more like 90% and overestimate your kcals burned in essence.
Sure its great to know how much you may burn just being on your feet and doing activites like shopping, chores around the house, how much you burn during a workout, how much you burn during LISS or HIIT cardio, but it may become too OCD when you try and track exactly how many kcals you burn on different days (training, non, just cardio) and trying to meticulate your kcal intake to match it which becomes more of a chore than anything.
I used one for about a month and you get a pretty good guess on what you burn (even though they are not 100% Accurate) but its pretty crazy to think how little you truly burn working out (around 200-300 kcals) and how much more you burn during cardio (especially longer bouts of LISS and HIIT) and why layne/Dr Wilson prove how cardio can be so damn catabolic.2013 & 2014 RX Member of the Year

Yeah this is how I tend to feel about these type of things. even with a pedometer I became very obsessed with walking (x) amount of steps every day to the point I was walking 18k/20k a day. on top of my work load and workouts.
I will say yeah it would be cool to see how much you burn and everything else it tracks but I can also see it being a problem for some people when you do not burn a certain amount one workout compared to the other one last week. or when your tired and need rest after the day but you feel you have to go and burn more calories to match what you did.I wish I was a little bit taller. I wish I was a baller.

^^ Bingo
i took screen shots on days i was off and just sat around
days when i would be active (high levels of NEAT)
Workout and how much i burned (say legs vs an arm/chest workout)
Cardio (Different lengths of LISS/HIIT)
just have them as reminders, sure they are numbers you burn, but in reality all you have to do is adjust your caloric intake up or down to suit your goal over time and be consistent.
Stressing over graphs and charts may be something to the least of importance in the grand scheme of things.2013 & 2014 RX Member of the Year

one thing I liked about fitbit was the silent alarm function-I never relied on it to actually wake me up but I would set it to match my real alarm-interesting to see what is logged in as sleep-I'm guessing moving is what's based on? but it did seem to come close to being what I did get for sleep

I think they're kinda waste of money, and can be inaccurate. If I'm not losing weight, I eat less, if I'm not gaining, I eat more. I don't need something to tell me what I'm burning throughout the day.

I can't see how this is useful for those who are most interested in muscular hypertrophy or increases in strength. None of these fit devices can measure that, nor come up with a program to help you get to those goals.
I can appreciate a continuous heart rate monitor without having to wear a chest strap, but that may be available only in the higher end models. That could certainly assist when doing low intensity cardio... but other than that, they seem suited for "the ordinary people" (catch the reference )
