Piracetam
Some of my friends swear by this for making you more intelligent, learning new tasks and solving problems you couldn't naturally. Has any tried this? Students swear by it before exams!

Had never heard of it.
A two-week regimen of piracetam was reported in 1976 to enhance verbal memory in healthy college students in a double-blind, placebo-controlled study.[2]
Numerous positive individual studies supported the use of piracetam in people suffering from a wide range of cognitive disorders,[3][4]
A 2002 meta-analysis by UCB (company) concluded that piracetam had a therapeutic effect in older patients with cognitive impairment.[5]
In 2008, a working group of the British Academy of Medical Sciences noted that many of the clinical trials of piracetam for dementia were methodologically flawed.[6][7]

I have used it in the past when learning Objective C programming language and it definitely helped for that. Quality and dosage is important as well as having other well-balanced neurotransmitters.

I preferred aniracetam personally but the effects are slightly different.

I have done a fair amount of reading in this arena but I am no expert. The main difference I noticed is that it has an anti anxiety effects. For someone like me with ADD, its useful in maintaining focus on one topic. It slows you down quite a bit like a mild benzo. Ive not used benzos but this is what I imagine a low dose would feel like. Take it with some Sulbutiamine and you are set. They compliment each other quite well. Dont forget to take with a choline source as well.

Choline or Just eat whole eggs...Nootropic is very controversial many studies are still yet to prove their effects on neuro-conditions. However for me I prefer adderall if I have to recite/review or what not.

aniracetam and oxiracetam are newer, more powerful nootropics from the racetam family. All racetams cause the brain to burn choline at an accelerated rate so if you're going to use them I suggest getting some acetyl choline or choline bitartrate, or something along those lines otherwise you'll most likely end up with either a headache or feeling little to no effect from your racetam
one stack that has a lot more evidence to support it is huperzine A and some form of choline. I think the huperzine should be taken at at least 500mcg per day and I would take the choline right along with it.The effects don't last very long though...usually 4 hours at most.

I will have to give this a try. My focus abilities, at times, it seems last about 10 seconds.
Adderall helps me considerably with focus but I don't have a regular source for it and really don't like the tight-jawed feeling it gives me. Reminds me of the old black-beauty days, but no where near as bad.
