stroke risk after cycle
Hello Doc.I posted this in the chem forum and i have gotten no response.Im hoping you can help.I have been on for 3 years none stop.I just down the test dosage and cruise but all orals and other compounds i stop.I want to take a break here in few months and want to know what to do after cycle in case my arteries are a bit clogged.am 47 and am afaid by looking at my blood work there might be a problem.
this is what i posted:
sup bros.i dont know if this belongs here but since its talking about pct i want to ask something.i heard that when you get off cycle you have to do this and that and the other to get ding dongs to get back working but i never hear anyone talk about what to do with your cholesterol lipids after cycle.i hear that if you been on for a long time your arteries get full of plaques and after cycle you take ab or c supplement to reduce that but chances are that while large amout of plaque brakes down it cloggs small arteries causing a stroke.so my question is what can we do to prevent this from happening.what good does it do you for your ding dongs to be working and then pammmm you get a stroke.

i know this is for the doc but ill give you my limited input.
regardless of risk of any issue you need to get your cholesterol in line. you may want a statin drug but you can get a couple otc sups and get your diet good.
niacin, red yeast rice, coq10, and fish oil are all good sups. a lean diet rich in veggies along with good cardio vascular exercise will help more than anything.
again i know you wanted the doc here and these are just my opinions. i was able to get my cholesterol back on track while cycling following this advice.

It would be good to talk to your health care provider regarding ways to lower your cholesterol and raise HDL cholesterol. The health provider will factor in your family history of cardiovascular disease and hyperlipidemia and come out with a plan specifically for you. Statins have draw backs and your doc would decide if nutritional means would be prudent to do first along with niacin and recheck your levels in 6 weeks and decide where to go from there.

Post TRT cycle, the cholesterol decreases and the HDL raises. If there are issues with these values 2 months after stopping TRT, see your doc for blood work and a consultation on what to do. Either way, keep up with the blood testing.
