    Alternate 1 day on DIET #1..... 2 days on DIET #2 and then repeat.

    Diet #1
    Meal #1 - 8 egg whites
    *
    Meal #2 - 40g whey protein (I use Isopure low carb)
    *
    Meal #3 - 6oz chicken with 1-cup asparagus or green beans
    *
    Meal #4 - 6oz white fish (orange roughy, tilapia, cod) With a green salad with vinegar & mustard (no olive or macadamia nut oil)
    *
    Meal #5 - 35g whey protein or 12 egg whites

    Totals: 794 Cal/15grams carbs/4 gm fat/162 protein



    Diet #2

    Meal #1 - 2 whole (omega-3) eggs with 6 egg whites
    *
    Meal #2 - 35g whey protein with 1 tablespoon all natural peanut butter
    *
    Meal #3 - 6oz chicken with 1/4-cup (1oz) cashew nuts, or almonds (vary it)
    *
    Meal #4 - 6oz salmon, swordfish, or red meat with a green salad (no tomatoes, red peppers, or carrots) with 1 tablespoon of olive oil or mac nut oil and vinegar
    *
    Meal #5 - 35g whey with 1 tablespoon all natural peanut butter or 2 whole (omega-3) eggs with 6 white

    Totals: 1522 Cal/19gm carbs/63gm fat/ 219 protein

    Here is a little more info: The premise of the diet is high protein (about 1- 1 1/2 gram per pound), moderate fat (about 1/2 g per lb) and low low carbs (no direct sources of carbs). During this diet, the brain goes into ketosis (it uses ketone bodies for energy-- fats) and thus the energy requirements by the body can almost all be supplied by fats (which you'll be taking in plenty of). The only activity that uses carbs will be the weight workout which may use 40grams per workout. You will get these 40g indirectly through the foods you'll be eating. As a backup, the cheat meal you'll be having once per week will provide a storehouse of glycogen (glucose) in case of emergency. So, you see, very little gluconeogenesis in the liver will be occurring. If we keep cortisol low (by
    restricting STIMULANTS) we'll ensure that muscle is spared!

    HAVE YOUR CHEAT MEAL ON THE SAME DAY EVERY WEEK, last meal of the
    day so you dont cheat again.

    Fiber helps burn fat! Everyone should take fiber 2x per day. Fiber actually helps increase the absorption of calcium. (I DO HAVE BATHROOM ISSUES- I take the fiber 2X a day, and an additional dose of Psyllium husk - and may be able to go 1 every 4th day

    I drink like a gallon & 1/2 of water a day, I just feel like something isn't right and would love some input.

    how often are you doing diet 1? way too low. why not stick w diet 2? I am not a fan of keto, though I know some really like it.

    Well I do diet 1- 1 day, and then diet 2 for 2 days, and back to diet 1, and going so forth. I am thinking that maybe the keto plan isn't for me either. I am just shocked that in 5 weeks, I am not seeing any results (not going from scale, but getting BF assessment with calipers). Do you think I should do diet 2 regularly, or possibly even change it up and add good carbs into the diet as well? I guess I just don't know how much I should eat to lose. I know Var will tighten me up, but from what I have read it is not going to make me drop any weight. Really trying to be in the best shape EVER this year, and this is def the most consistent and TRUE I have ever been to a diet. What would you suggest?

    I shouldn't say consistent, because I did CarbNite Solution for many months...but this plan that I do now is by far more STRICT, and I have stayed ON track regularly, no cheats or going off track AT ALL! Even desperately missing my cream in my coffee...black coffee just isn't the same...but I know what I want MORE! Haha

    I would suggest based on your stats, 1530 cals, 128 g protein, 140 g carbs and 51 g fat.
