Carb Back Loading Question
This may have already been covered, but I couldn't seem to find it. I will admit that I haven't read the books on carb back loading, but I have them ordered and will read them within the next two weeks (Keifer).
How do you do your back load when you train at noon? I rise at 6:30am daily perform fasted state cardio at 7:00am and eat protein and fat only at 8:00, and then a second meal of protein and fat at 10:30.
I have not started the back loading plan because I currently do CKD and do my reefed once per week.
Thanks,

Just continue your meals as you normally would. I would have a protein source high in leucine post training and maybe add some additional leucine. Then after that just go back to your protein fat meals till you are ready to backload at night. I have clients that do it in a similar fashion and it works well. Some may have some carbs intra workout and backload the rest but it depends on how high their intake is.

Very similar to what I stated above. Although I have found with folks that train early, going in fasted is the way to go. I usually would have them take about 5-10g of glutamine pre training (this is optional though) and begin to sip on bcaas (better yet a hydrolyzed protein) and carbs during training. Then the next meal would be moderate fat and protein with some additional leucine. After that its protein fat meals the rest of the day till the last meal in which they would consume the rest of their carbs. The carbs from the night before seem to load well as glycogen and produce great effects the next morning.

Hey two quick questions, I know it depends from person to person but I have been slowly reintroducing carbs, so do you still have carbs on non-workout days? And is it okay to have say 100-150 carbs in one sitting at night if that is your total carb intake for the day and your backloading?
