The stars on the hips I think I got in 09 or 10...the belly button one was my first in 2000!
And thank you! Just trying to hang in there! I getting reminded of the last few weeks right now-blah! But I know I'll get through it like every other competitor out there

SOunds like you're right on schedule ... the last 4 weeks I start getting really squirrely. This is when I start making my lists for competition day as well as working on posing music, lots of posing practice, maybe bedazzling some photoshoot clothes or just something show -related to keep my hands busy.

Yeah I def have been relying on work to keep me distracted...albeit, a frustrating distraction....I'm also ansy b/c I want all my tanning and hair/makeup appointments lined up...hehehe it's over a month and I'm like, omg when and where?????
Yeah this time of prep brings out the impatience!
No photoshoots lined up this time...I don't think anyone will be out here like a dan ray or Jeff Binns...could be wrong!
And posing! Man I'm lost on this one...just trying to figure out what works best for my lines and flow....gotta hide the flaws baby!

Four weeks tomorrow-ACK!!!!
The reality that it's almost been ten years since my first show has been hitting me hard this week...I think of all the yo-yo weight, on and off training, etc....
But I have to keep my ultimate goal in mind: to look better than I have in seven years...if I'm not ready I will wait for the January show....I just can't be the one to be my undoing again

It's been nearly 15 years since my first show.... mind you Im' also pushing 50.
Eye on the price ... do the show you're ready for - so there are options - but the point is to keep your eye on the prize! The only thing that says it to me at the end of the day ... you get to choose: Either do it, or don't bother.
You got this! Keep working on the posing - actually that aspect may be the place to spend your antsy time to focus - there is so much more video out there on the web to get ideas from than we first started competing, so use it! Also videotape yourself posing and watch - that's the best way to pick out the things that need fixing and also find out what you do or don't do as a matter of habit that may be things you can leverage as a strength, or something you need to work extra hard to not leave it as a weakness. Video is a GREAT tool!

Random question for anyone on here: I see nothing saying physique & figure can't crossover....attempted an email and no answer....anyone with expertise/previous experience? Connections?

December is going to be an interesting month to say the least...and busy...the first half will be show related, the second half will be family related...
I am very much looking forward to the second half...I miss my mom and worry about her...typical daughter of course but I think back to this time last year and all that was happening with my grandmother and how we didn't know about the tumor yet...I sometimes get really emotional...this show has probably been a good focus for me during that...so I am very much looking forward to seeing my remaining family and I always love seeing my fiancé's family-they are a lively bunch!
I was going to post a couple of pics here but I may put them in the physique section instead for some posing critiques....this is what you do on a budget folks! hahahahaha

I remember your posts from a year ago. I am proud to see where you are now, and would think your Grandmother would be also. I get sad around the Holidays also because I don't have any family left, but I do have my wife and daughters.
I wish you the best, and am cheering for ya!!DON'T BE AVERAGE!!!

Well, provided nothing changes, today is 21 days away from the show
Nerves felt: many
All I can do now is work as hard as possible to dial it all in....
Oh and to figure out a posing routine

Did you shoot an email to Jon Lindsay?
All I found on the NPC rules (http://npcnewsonline.com/npc-figure-division-rules/, though said same for FBB - so I assume it is "the rule"):
National level contests do not permit competitors to cross over into fitness, figure or bikini at the same event. All other competitions are permitted to have crossovers at the discretion of the promoter with appropriate approval.
Didnt' see anything on Lindsay's site.
Holy crap! entry fee is high at $150. That used to be the national show entry fee. NPC cards have gone up another $20. Wow. This is not for the weak of pocketbook.... You literally need a job w/ a comparable raise schedule to keep up!
My thought is that you can cross over since they are never the kind to turn down another entry fee.

I did send an email to the address on the site but with no reply...anyone else want to try?
yeah it was $150 when I did USAs in 07...I definitely experienced some sticker shock!
