return of the gymdiva :)
I am giving the 45 day challenge over on blackstone labs' forum a go-I mean, why not! worse that happens? I get hotter so below is the journal entry I just started-I thought I would keep one here with some of my peeps
I am going to give it a go! I did text with PJ and he gave me permission to use my undies in lieu of a two piece for now-I'm still looking for one! hahahaha-we're starting to get suits in now but they're mostly tankinis which won't work-or XXS or XL-I'm a little bit more in between!
I'll see if this pic works for now but here's what I'm working with-like another poster I saw, this was an awesomely amazing gift-I do really like the phytoform so far and plan to buy more soon http://instagram.com/p/jmokEWBsWT/
why I am doing this? multiple reasons:
*it's been a while...I have been off my game for a while-I'd have spurts of "good" and then I'd veer off-reasons vary-but I won't lie, being out here in SoCal now makes me even more aware of being healthy and happy
*I'm getting married in Oct...I want to look my best, right? plus with any luck I'll win that top prize and can afford a dress
*to look awesome in my clothes...I work in women's athletic attire-we just keep coming out with cute pants and I want my ass looking hot in them!
but the most inspiring reason actually comes from a place of sadness: my maternal grandmother has an inoperable, malignant brain tumor-she is starting to get into the final phases of the tumor's progression-there's nothing like a reality check like that to make you wake up and seize life a little more each day...watching this unfold has been heartbreaking and tragic but it's also been loving and fun-odd right? I'll explain...
this birthday and xmas was amazing..yes, she had some personality changes, but they were actually for the better at that point in time...the steroid they had her on to help reduce the swelling in her brain (not of the tumor itself, just the brain) was helping her feel upbeat, almost hyper even, and gave her the ability to eat things she had not had in years...for my bday (three days before xmas) I brought her and my other grandmother together and we had dinner and just yakked and yakked-they had not seen each other in years...then xmas rolled around and it was tremendous....there was no better way I can think of to spend my last xmas with her...
and as I type that sentence I immediately have tears in my eyes...this has been tearing down my mom so much...I worry for her greatly every day...I hope that this has not taken too much time off of her life in the process...
but I do not want to start my journal off on such a down note...last weekend when she asked if I would take up bodybuilding (competitively) again I thought, I should...even if just one more run....just for her....she won't physically be there but I will have her by my side the whole way....
so let's start this! I'll take pics tomorrow (ACK)

Thank you! But I won't need luck....just hard work
I'm texting with momma now and she said she really feels her slipping away now...she's sleeping more and more...the hospice nurse said what is typical of this type of tumor is a gradual slipping away into a coma...we just want no pain for her...she's had plenty of that in her lifetime...stories for another time....today we focus on the positive and think about her nonstop spirit

Ok I'm having a little trouble uploading my pics but they will be up soon-thankfully the fiancé can help me-I don't know much about this new camera :/
Yesterday I did manage to cover eight miles in walking-not a bad start-i reaallllyyyy want to buy a bike and take bike trips by the ocean-now that's some great cardio!
As for the pics, you know, this is one of the better sets of before pics I've ever taken-but the bane of my existence is that butt! BLAH!!! That will be a big focus to see if I can get some positive changes going there-it's always been my weakest body part-probably followed by arms...or maybe lats....eh, I'll go with arms

Updates:
Gma's time is getting closer...from an emotional standpoint I'm having a rough time...more from thinking about my mom and all that she's been through during all of this....I will be NC bound sooner than later for sure
From a training standpoint, I hit the gym for the first time in quite a while...honestly don't remember when I went last before moving....I have not been stagnant but I def have not had a good weights workout in a while....felt good...gave me something else to focus on for about an hour...

I've stayed on top of training and diet so far minus Super Bowl Sunday-but that was already planned so we are all good
I did not get my sleep last night though and I am feeling it! I will def be taking some makeup zzzzz's
Well, let me tackle this Santa Monica in the rain traffic...if you have never experienced SoCal drivers in the rain then just think about southerners in snow...yeah it's that bad!
