hehehe well mine is a Tar Heel car so there are def working wipers!
I am getting close to heading back to NC for family time...my brain is very jumbled in how to react to everything...she is still hanging in there...I just don't want her hanging around to the point that she's in tremendous pain...but I don't know if that would actually happen or if she would just not be aware...it's a bit much....did not handle it too well yesterday or today...I did get back in the gym tonight and felt much better...but it all still comes back once the lifting is over...I know we will get through this...it's just the anticipation of the worst yet to come that gets to you...

Well I've been in NC about a week and a half now...the whole situation is frustrating b/c I never feel like I can do enough...my poor mom is spent...she has given so much of herself during this time of taking care of her mother....she has been my rock for years so I cannot let anything happen to her!
On the training front....damn you Arnold! Every year it just sucks me back in and this year my favorite of all time Oksana finally won so now I'm even more wanting to dive back in...now will that feeling last? That's always the question...right now training is giving me a much needed escape from all the "chaos" that is beyond not the norm...diet can def be better...but really I have not done too badly this time around....I'm almost proud!Last edited by ~gymdiva~; 03-04-2014 at 10:57 PM.

been in NC two weeks now...it's been rough...I won't lie...I have focused on keeping myself as healthy as possible to make sure I am here for my family...I thank my extended online family for their support, too

Grandma update:
she is basically in a holding pattern...we did move her to a hospice house...she is off all meds except pain meds...everything else was basically just feeding the tumor...she is mostly sleeping but, surprise! my uncle has basically moved into the room and she's restless and agitated...there's not much we can do unless he becomes a disruption...if I had a cattle prod I swear I'd use it...
in the "it's a small world" category one of the CNAs that works there was a coworker of mine at the greensboro outback...she walked in and we were like, whaaaaat???? she was asking me about me growing out my hair and I suddenly remembered my hair was very close to what's in the pic above last time she saw me at the end of 07
me? well, I about lost my shit yesterday...too much being of that trapped feeling...living in my parents' living room is not exactly what you picture happening in your 30s...but I'm not the one slowly dying of a brain tumor so I'll take my squishy recliner sleeping in stride
for the record, that recliner is damn comfortable! I actually have liked sleeping in the chair laid back than laying flat in a bed...I wake up with minimal face swelling (like bags under my eyes) and my sinuses are clearer...go figure!
oh and it's sleeting again today...two days ago it was 70...just pick a weather...that's all I ask!

Tough times for you & your family Sharon .. so not fun (and have been in similar). My heart goes out to you all and the process that it is. Its such a crazy time to have to manage the stress, other people's stress, the sadness, the holding pattern of it all.
Well... my thoughts are with you and glad you are able to get some balance from training. Generally my whole life starts to just float along when I lose the structure of the gym.
