oh yeah pain and gain was terrible

i'm a big marky mark fan and his last few movies haven't been good, lone survivor was a big let down

im a wahlberg fan too, pain and gain horrible, lone survivor very good but not outstanding. broken city and contraband his other recent films were subpar. He does have so many good ones tho. four brothers, basketball diaries, the fighter, we own the night, boogie nights, etc etc

That movie was long, but not boring. The best part to me was when he was super fucked up on Ludes. His "Cerebral palsy" phase.

LOL, I agree with you! I liked that movie too but it was too long for me. It was very funny and entertaining though and I think that's why so many people liked it. In my opinion, it was a good movie but not a great movie. The lude scene was classic though!

although not nearly as good as goodfellas i think of it as scorcese doing to that era of stock brokers similiar to what he did to that era of italian gangsters in goodfellas. they were both obscene and led to a big downward spiral at the end. I had read the book first and enjoyed it besides Jordan Belfort being a snitch. Good but not outstanding. Leo however i feel was amazing in the role.

I loved all those movies as well. They all brought back good memories of me as a young kid getting lost in all of them.. Ahh, those were greats lol

I loved the '80's but I'm not sure if the '80's had the BEST movies. However, there was some good ones. "Raiders of the Lost Ark", "Ghostbusters", "Predator", "First Blood", "Scarface", "The Empire Strikes Back", "Caddyshack", "Raging Bull", "Airplane", "Blues Brothers", "Blade Runner" and, of course, "The Terminator".

Just saw Saving Mr. Banks. I went to the trouble to read P. L. Travers' book Mary Poppins (1934) before seeing it, to make sure I had the point of view of both Disney & her on the material, & was glad I did. I thought the film was excellent, a neat re-creation of early 1960s Hollywood & California, and the flashback scenes in Australia were also top-notch. I like the Disney film a lot, but I can understand why Travers objected to that treatment of her material, because the film was very different in tone, & arguably even theme.
